I have a little over 2,000 dust and I'm looking for some advice.
I love Mage and I saw Trump play a cool control deck that had Frost Linch Jania it wasn't elemental just control. I have everything except for Jaina.
I've also seen the cool evolve Shaman decks with Thrall. Again, I have everything except Thrall.
I also have gotten wrecked by Big Priest and I have everything except for Y'Shaarj (I don't have priest DK but I've been told Big Priest can be played without it).
What do you think the best for climbing ladder is? I'm currently rank 12 and I got there using Secret Mage but I'm having trouble getting to 10. My goal this season is to get to rank 5 (I got to 6 last season). How do you think the incoming nerfs will effect the meta?
If I were you I would just wait a little for the nerfs to come (it shoudn't really be too too long) before crafting anything as you could regret it. I thinkthe less needed of those is probably thrall, the old evolve token shaman from un'goro is still good enough to work without the use of the DK as it is honestly just a win more when you are already ahead type of card and honestly it just seems like a little bit of an non sense overkill to me. As with Y'shaarj it is obviously a must in Big priest to work properly but what people miss to see is that as goodas it is, it's also an extremely high roll deck, not getting Barnes before turn 4 puts you in a big disadvatange and it guarantees that you are going to probably get rolled over by aggro but also not getting Barnes means that you have a chance of pulling him out with shadow essence which will destroy your game plan, so keep in mind this: It's a good that when you get Barnes it just steam rolls over pretty much anything but a lot of the times you'llbe missing a combo piece, you could struggle to find an eternal servitude which would have you do nothing after the Barnes turn or things like that. With Control mage I really have no answer to you, I've heard it's good and that it can keep you alive for a long time with the generation of water elementals but it really shines on an elemental type build with Baron Geodon and Pyros specifically but I think it's a solid choice still. My advice is to wait really, to see what ends up being super strong what I just told you is still pretty much the breakdown of every deck.
