Entry Restrictions: Your card must be a Minion, and that minion must be a creature or character from "Vanilla" World of Warcraft. Your minion must have a base Mana Cost, Attack, and Health of 6 or less.
We have whittled down ~220 entries to just 22 of the community's favorites. Check out all the finalists below and vote in our poll (vote for as many or as few as you like) to help decide the winner and be sure to check back after the poll finishes for the announcement of the winner and the start of a new theme!
NOTE: Cards with a black border have additional material, like explanations or unique tokens, located in a spoiler at the bottom of the finalist gallery.
Lots of cool submissions this week, I think the coolest is definitely Sir Zeliek. You could set up some wombos with him, but you need to demonstrate a bit of a higher level of skill than usual. And any card that takes an existing unused one and makes it cool is good in my books.
Damn it Asylum, why'd you tiebreak vote against my card? :<
Voted for Warder, Zeliek and Banker. Warder and Banker for being interesting utility cards, Zeliek for being hilarious.
The first Tyrande is just completely, absolutely beyond absurdly broken. It's a more mana flexible Onyxia that also does damage equal to the number of wisps summoned distributed as you please. And that's the base case, throw in a Knife Juggler or spell power and it's even more absurd. I'm actually not sure there's an existing deck that wouldn't play it. Scratch that, the "play" distinction strikes again. It's still probably on the strong side, but not "completely, absolutely beyond absurdly broken". My bad.
Ram is cute but only synergies with one card at the moment.

Yeah, that tyrande is a good card but VERY VERY BROKEN, it's onyxia with better stats and cheaper and with a "battlecry": deal 7 damage
^We misread it. The minion -> Moonfire trigger is a PLAY, not a summon. So the Wisps generated from the Spell -> Wisp trigger don't activate the minion -> Moonfire trigger.
I think if this Tyrande ever enter the game, Wisp and Moonfire will not trigger her effect, just like Gallywix's Coin, but without tokens with this restrictions, yeah, this is broken
I find it kinda hilarious how a Vanilla minion made it into the finals.
You know, any other week I would have been disappointed a vanilla minion did well, but this week it just feels so beautifully appropriate that I just can't be mad. Also, the audacity it took to submit a vanilla minion to a card creation competition. I'm not going to lie, I voted for it. XD
You know, I've been refraining from commenting as much on the finalists recently, but I feel like I just can't help myself this week! My favorites were: Horde Warbinger, Plagued Deathound, Timbermaw Warder, Cow, and Royal Dreadguard.
Special mention to our Wild Cards, I really love them both this week. Cow is a super clever mechanic, a Deathrattle that's only beneficial if it goes off during your own turn, and at the same time it's so simple and so fitting with such a simple creature. I think it definitely captured the spirit of this week's theme brilliantly, and my only criticism is the artwork. Come on, it was a cow! It's not some obscure creature, surely there's some good cow artwork out theren. Royal Dreadguard I also think is brilliant. Though it may not look so at first, I really like the explanation that the submitter gave that its purpose is in helping out that elusive Control Rogue. Specifically, combined with Gang Up especially, it gives Rogue the solid, reliable mid-game minion it's been missing. The thought put into not only the minion itself but also how it interacts interestingly with other underutilized cards to help enable a new deck archetype won me over.
What happend with Slitherblade Naga? I thought that's really cool entry, even better, then his page winner, it really deserves place in final, more then Mathias Shaw, which effect is not new and completely broken with Stealth
Only those last two Wild Card finalists. Here is how we determine the finalists of each competition, as detailed in every Submission Topic:
How do we determine the qualifying finalists? First, we'll take the highest-voted entry on each page of the submission topic. Then, we'll fill in the rest using the formula detailed here...
(abc) / (de) = x
Where, a = The total number of up-votes in the entire topic. b = The total number of submissions on the same page as the submission. c = The total number of up-votes that the submission received. d = The total number of pages that the entire topic spanned. e = The total number of up-votes on the same page as the submission. x = The submission's final score.
It might seem a bit complex and convoluted, but the bottom line is that, although entries on the earlier pages of the Submission Topic are much more visible and thus receive many more up-votes than entries on later pages, you don't actually have to rush to get your entry in as soon as possible because the up-votes end up being weighted by what page your entry ends up on in order to determine its final score. It will be the ~15-25 entries that receive the highest final scores (depending on the popularity of this week's competition) that move on to the Final Phase.
But wait, there's more! During each Weekly Card Design Competition, each Fan Creation Forum moderators will be given a Wild Card, which they can use to advance any one entry that they feel was initially overlooked or under-appreciated to the Final Phase, regardless of its final score. Wild Cards are our way of spicing things up a bit, but please don't ask to be given one or be upset if you aren't given one. These are just supposed to be fun. (Also, it should go without saying that, while we moderators are allowed to participate in the competitions, we are not allowed to benefit from Wild Cards.)

I made it! YAY!
Give a man a Murloc, and he'll eat for a day.
Give him a Murloc Knight, and people will hate him.
Thought for sure "Silas Darkmoon and Burth" were going to make it. Shoot!
However..."Eye of Kilrogg" is legit.
I find it kinda hilarious how a Vanilla minion made it into the finals.

You know, with the exception of 'Alterac Ram', I actually really like the submissions this week. All seem balanced and great.

sad to not see my baby murloc.
i hate that npc , for i really design it as a kind of murloc, not a specific one.
