I just had some ideas pop in my head and created some cards that I thought would be interesting.
First idea is Exhausted. The idea is just like Imprisoned that the minion goes dormant for 2 turns but whereas the imprisoned minions has an effect when they wake up, the exhausted minions have their effect before they go dormant. So a decent or slightly undervalued effect immediately and a slightly overvalued minion two turns later. These are some ideas I came up with:
Another idea was tradeoff-spells. A spell that gives something but also de-buffs in some way. It might be an interesting concept and would be fun to play around with, Here´s some ideas:
At first glance looks not worth it. I mean the idea itself is nice, but the effects from your example look too weak. Antaen has a seriously overpowered effect for its Dormant disadvantage. This would basically require the same to be playable.

I know what you mean, but Antaen effect in my opinon is still too strong. The only downfall of that card is that it activates first at turn 8. The cards I listed here is much lower mana which means you usually always get the benefit of both the effect and the minion. Antaen also comes alive so late in the game that the opponent usually has resources to deal with it that that point. I also didnt wanna make them too overpowered since its my strong opinion that the crazy power creep thats happening right now is not a good place for the game to be.
Unfortunately Antaen is barely played - I believe only Highlander plays it and it is due to, oh well, it being a Highlander.
It's really clunky at 6 mana - and this speaks for itself. Yes, the powercreep is at fault, because even at 6 mana Antaen on paper looks great, but at least for the time being this is the reality we play in. Maybe they will do something about it in the future - all in all Hearthstone has rotation, so it's not beyond repair, we just need next expansions to have lesser power levels.
I LOVE both spells! The exhaust effect is also great but I would rethink the stats to effect - very hard to predict what is balanced without playtesting
TBH tho i wouldnt want to see both dormant and exhaust in the same rotation, maybe for one patch
