So, Stampeding Kodo in the current meta seems to work well for me. While the card does not have the best stats, a 3/5 for 5 is mediocre, and paired with the Battlecry, I think this tech card is awesome for dealing with those annoying creatures with 2 damage. Some of these annoying cards include Keeper of the Grove, Defender of Argus, Sunfury Protector and any other cards that you may see.
So as well as removing a minion for your opponent, you get yourself a 3/5 on the board, not bad.
It depends on your deck really. Keep in mind that for 5 mana, you could have a 4/4 and draw another card. Depending on how your deck runs, you may find Drake to be better (it usually is as if you have enough AOE to shut down, you want to keep on drawing and build a card advantage).
It has it's place in mid-range hunter as it gets buffed by Houndmaster.
I think Cabal Shadow is an awesome card, and at worst a more expensive Yeti, it also avoids other Shadow Words in mirror match-ups and can live most AoE's. I myself also run Cabal in my priest decks, however in other decks I think that Kodo is a good card at the minute : )
Kodo is nice in a priest deck (especially if you're running Crazed Alchemist, so you can swap attack/health of a minion to bring them into Kodo range).
Also nice in a pallie deck because it combos with the cards that change a minion's attack to 1.
I personally like the idea of it in constructed, sure Azure Drake follows the meta, But its incredibly satisfying to remove the summoning portal that was hiding behind that taunt wall.

If you're running an unconventional Paladin deck, you could also run Humility, and possibly remove a huge threat for 6 mana whilst still getting a good body on the board.

Stampeding Kodo is a very viable card I run a similar type card in priest decks, Cabal Shadow Priest is just a better priest exclusive version.

Kodo is a great card in the rush meta, I may try running a brewmaster Kodo combo deck.

I like it becouse its 2x1 or 1x1 as improved removal card. The body its kinda meh, but work well with argus or sunfury.
