I recently saw a deck list from a mana grind tournament that was divine shield pally. It's focus was using hard to remove minions with divine shield along with things such as youthful brew master and redemption to reset the shields as well as blood knight to make a huge early game threat. It was use previous to the patch that made secrets only trigger on the opponents turn but I approximated the deck and really enjoyed it. The only card that I was wondering about was redemption because when although I still got some good triggers off of it some of the players played around it correctly and would kill a token first. If I can't set it off myself is it even worth using?
You can't exploit Redemption with Leeroy Jenkins for board clear any more, but it's still good. Just has to be used intelligently (i.e. don't go throwing 1/1 tokens out), have taunts and/or Divine Shield up, which are typically really annoying when combined with Redemption.
Like, it goes pretty well with Tirion Fordring and Sunwalker. But you really can't have stooge minions out.

If you find my posts to be rude, objectionable, or whatever, well, I got tired of writing polite TL; DR (Too Long, Didn't Read) posts at crybaby whiners. So now I just make it short and nasty.
If you find that funny, well and good. If you find that sad, that's even better.
Cairne dies, spawns Baine, Carine returns with one life, will eventually die again for a second Baine. Total : 2 Baine with 4/5, 1 Cairne with 4/5 and another with 4/1. 3x 4/5, 1x 4/1. Plus, gives you 2 of em at the same time on the board to hit for 8. Pretty sick combo IMO.
Because Cairne is a silence magnet, you might lose one Baine, but I've never seen someone double silence Cairne (the first and the respawned one) so you'll see at least 3 minions from this, that's for sure.
Redemption is probably worth keeping - but you should definitely experiment with other things in that slot; it's no longer the massive tempo-gain that it used to be.
I've been trying blessing of might in the slot, which is hit or miss, it makes removal a little easier but doesn't add a whole lot of power to the deck. I think I might put redemption back in for those times that it activates on sunwalker. It just used to be so good with argent commander!
It is VERY situational. It forces you to almost build your entire deck around it. If you are going wombo-combo, fine. If you want a more versatile deck, try something else.
I'm going to hate myself for suggesting this, but have you tried using one of the Brewmasters?
Oh yeah, it runs 2 youthful brew masters! They are pretty sick because you can run cards that are situational like ooze or peacekeeper and if they are are needed suddenly you are running 2 more copies. The least they do is put shields back on.

I love the turn 7 cairne + redemption! Good luck dealing with 3x 4/5 minions + 1x 4/1!
