Really tired of this card. People lucky enough to get it turn 3 just get such a huge advantage in most situations. The fact that this gives you an awesome trade the turn it is played followed by the fact that it's a 3/2 is stupid. The nerf by 1 HP was good in that it made it easier to kill but the player has already gotten the advantage out of it. When they said they were going to nerf it honestly I thought it was going to become a 2/2 so that people have to at least question whether or not to put it in their stupid decks. Boring and stupid gtfo dumb card.

On the topic: I've actually been looking at the value of SSC and wondering if it's still worth it. The card itsself gets taken out fairly easily now, where it used to survive a good deal of AoE's and spells and minions. It's still worth it for now, but taking it further down will make it too niche and will likely boost other cards in it's place. Things like Harvester are allready probably better and would just be flat out better in most scenarios if SSC became a 2/2 with 1/1 buff.

Well collectively SSC gets you a 4/3 , itself plus it's buff. That lands right with several other 3 mana cards stat wise. However to me it's strange. It's almost like the +1/1 buff is not quite enough. *things like harvester, collective have 4/4 , and wounded has 4/3 but potential more hp. So they have a little bit extra. But if it gave +1/2, I'm not sure if that would be overpowered.
Also I think defender of argus is far overpowered. It should give +1 health, or +1 attack. But certainly not both. *itself 3/3, +2 1/1, plus two taunt, which is close to +2 attack. You end up with a for 7/5 for 4. hmmm... Course you do have to have two minions available. So it's a very tough call. By itself a 3/3 is lousy. So very situational.

The thing about the total 4/3 of a SSC is that you get to use 1/1 of that instantly, so long as you have something out. This 1/1 could be enough to help something survive and essentially go +1 off it in terms of card advantage (or at least something smaller for something bigger, which is also sort of plus though not quite as big). Harvest Golem only gives you 2/3 immediately and provides the 2/1 only on death, so although it is persistent it isn't overpowering. It gains its strength in its resilience. Other 4/3 cards like Kiron Tor Mage and Injured Blademaster do have more potential than just a 4/3, like SSC, but you usually do not benefit from them immediately like SSC. So, essentially, of all the 3 mana 4/3s that exist, you benefit from SSC the fastest and go plus off of it a nice amount of time. If your opponent got unlucky enough to not have a good way to deal with the field, now, then the advantage is only going to increase.
As for Defender of Argus, this card requires you have more of a field for it to be good. It isn't hard to play something and then SSC it as a minimum, but Defender or Argus is more mana and requires two things to get full benefits out of it. Really what makes it OP is the fact that it not only gives +1/+1 but also taunt. It's a hell of a lot of value most of the times its played. While it does need a nerf, I would consider it more manageable than SSC because SSC has a ton of snowballing potential from very early into the game and will snowball more consistently than a Defender of Argus.
I think SSC is perfectly fine right now. It's good in some decks, useless in others, but not outstanding in everything anymore. I frequently find it dying to AOE now, and I think it's perfectly balanced atm.
Rant post.

Brace yourselves, readers. When this guy learns what Defender of Argus does, we're all in trouble.

The card is undeniably balanced now. Doesn't get shoehorned into every single deck now.
