Finally I'm so glad this card is gone from standard. This strong of card draw/mill is completely unwarranted from such a common source and easy to abuse with cards like vanish/shadow step/cheat death. Mill should only be available in the case of extreme deck destruction in the case of rin with a huge amount of resources committed to the play. Or like with gnomeferatu where it is class specific and not very abusable in the way this card was
Yeah having a card that can consistently mill a person of at least 4 cards per game is kind of a little much since it also draws them towards their own combo's.
I think coldlight was ok until blizzard messed up and created kingsbane, which spawned a deck that preys on control decks and loses to absolutely everything else. It merely exists to mess up anyone playing slower decks that rely on one or two minions on the board at turn 7 or so. I didn't play during against older mill decks except DMH, but at least I can appreciate the skill required for that. Kingsbane isn't hard to play against a slow deck, and it's straight up terrible against anything else. So I'm not sad to see a component of it go, so other control decks can have one less one sided matchup. Kingsbane is awful to play against and it boggles my mind that someone can enjoy playing it - being eaten alive by aggro or watching cards burn on an empty game board.

Uhhh no, coldlight shadowstep coldlight prep vanish for a mere 7 mana was always annoying, kingsbane made it actually a good play.

It is getting more clear to me, why they move Coldlight Oracle.
A lot of the current revealed cards are focusing on control. Coldlight would be a pain in the ass.

I disagree with this move.
Coldlight Oracle should be straight up removed from the game.
