I recently got nat pagle in a pack. Im wondering is it worth running it? Ofc it seems a but unreliable but, putting pagle down at turn 2 with a clear board and then turn 3 feral spirit, just seems pretty interesting. I know it helped me a lot with card draw, and thats the only thing shaman struggles with since i recently had to swap one drake for 1 belcher to help battle the aggro decks, since i dont use farseer.
I dont run mana tide totem usually because the way i see it, it is a weak play and usually its 1 for 1, but i do like the idea of pagle because its only 2 mana, better than hero power usually. Also, it becomes a decent taunt with argus.
So what are your thoughts on pagle in a shaman deck? Too unreliable? decent enough? Should i dust him?
Reason why MTT is better than nat is because its guarente draw and on top of that if they dont have a minion out to attack it, they have to use removal or they lose the game if MTT draws more than 1 normallly. If they do use removal MTT technically nets you 2 cards because you draw 1 and they lose 1.
On the other side Nat is better than mana tide in the sense you can coin him on turn one and he has one more health making him immune to frost bolt and axe, unreliable yes, viable totally! especially in the slower meta we are going into. Nat can waste an opponents turn dealing with him as well e.g against mage/druid will need to spend turn 4 or coin turn 3 + frost bolt/wrath to deal with pagle you played on turn 2. if this is the case he has done his job.

Unless you can think of an epic card that you really want, I'd keep it. Almost every legendary has a use, even if it's a gimmick for fun decks only, because they are so unique. You also get legendaries so infrequently that it makes little sense to get rid of them unless you're certain you will never ever use them.
I have a fun, although surprisingly successful, druid taunt deck that he can be used in, for example. It's not intended to be viable at legendary, but it is fun in the low teen ranks. Hide him behind a taunt and make your opponent desperate for removal via a spell/silence, or get him out early and then Defender of Argus or Shattered Sun Cleric can make him a 1/5 on turn 3 or 4. Really not the end of the world if he doesn't get that draw, but "OP" in that game if he does.
Granted, zoo does demolish this card, however this allows you to place him in your deck giving it a little "flexability" you run into 2 many zoo today, out with the pagle in with counter zoo, then its priest war and mage day back in with pagle.
@RJCarrot, nice questions, I would give the card a chance at least, although some cards are not great in theory, in practice they work and vice versa. Giving the card a chance also allows you to get a feel to if you like the card and it suits your play style, e.g if you are a slow controlled player who likes trading out for value experiment with this guy he may suprise you, if you are a zerg player he prob wont fit and when you play him you feel like you need a little something that does more bang for 2 mana, if you are a net decker well you should prob DE him to go towards what evers top ryt now, hell the author may be one of them players who through in their lot with miracle rogue and only got the leeroy refund, now you dust broke (after convincing themself that the 1 mana nerf broke miracle) and need to build freeze mage, hand lock or attempting control warrior.
The choice is your ultimately, but at least try him he still DE's for the same dust fresh out the pack or after 100 uses.

after several games getting him in turn 2-3 i can say it is pretty useful. Specially with a flametongue, they cant decide what to take out. Risk letting me draw cards, or have my flametongue out buffing my minions. Ill keep it probably. On the other hand i dont net deck, i have the most fun crafting my own decks actually! I love playing weird things.
I do have every top tier legendary except for grommash and tirion. Recently DE leeroy and keeping the dust around. I also have illidan around, havent decided what to do with him, never considered playing him but still, legendary is legendary.
Glad to hear, I also have Illidan, was experimenting with a Druid token style Illidan with Giants, I must say its quite effective you drop him on curve Innervate and power of the wild now you have Illidan buffed and 2 3/2's to go with him. then you drop sea giant next turn :)
I find He dies the minute he comes out, so better get 2 tokens out of him. I want to try him in a paladin next or shaman as the spells and minions are cheap and you can get some worth out the guy.
Really glad you gave pagle the chance.

In all of my time in HS I got 3 legendaries Nat, Choo and Tink Master Over-nerf... I D/E all of them (and a few golds) for Jaraxxus. Every time I play him I win the game, but I'm rambling now. So lets just say An epic of your choice is better than a derpy fisherman. I hope this helps. :)
Pagle is not one of those borderline terrible legendaries like Nozdormu etc. Its playable but its not top tier. Its fun tho, its a fancy shieldbearer :D

Ask yourself 2 questions.
1. Do I have all of the playable T1/T2 Legendaries?
2. Is this card a legit upgrade to any of the cards in the decks I play?
If either of these answers is No. DE it.
Problem with that theory is zoo eats pagel alive and zoo is being used more than ever now.
