it has gr8 potential but i think i would compare it to somthing like Violet Teacher ... the second u put it on board, opponent will try to get rid of it so it cant get any extra value and 1/4 aint gona acomplish much and if u buff it, u "waste" at least 2 cards to do nothing and hope it will stay alive is just meh... i think its too slow for current meta especialy with everyone running silence, but it might be ok to bait silenc to protect other minions perhaps (still pretty bad option) but id rather had somthing usefull in its slot anyway ... dunno only time i use it is in naxx boss fights to buff and taunt it as priest and nothing can come thru that if u manage to combo it right :)
I'm inclined to follow your line of thinking. if you play it i think it'd be to wait to combo it next turn so you don't waste the buff. could be used as a silence bait or stall. it may still be ok if your opponent silences it but not kill it then it can still be decent body to buff cuz of it's 4 body. and if you can taunt it might make it good. I don't want to force it to be good, it's not a win condition but i'd like to find cool valve from it.
One of the many problems of this card is that it gets healed at the start of your turn, so if you use it to trade your opponent has his turn to kill an already damaged minion. Most of the time you might buff it to kill one minion and then your opponent uses one card to finish it. So in the end both of you used 2 cards and you gained nothing. Why risk a dead card for that?
Basically this. If they reworded it to heal at the end of your turn it would be great, but as it is it's as dead as Nat Pagle.
Yeah, it's a really shitty card sadly enough. It sounds good on paper, but it's worthless in practice unfortunately... Like the above poster said, it heals at the beginning of your turn, meaning you can't really attack with it and keep it alive long enough to heal. If you do taunt it up, it still does pretty bad damage and will be killed by the time you have the mana to combo it with another card. Or it will draw and immediate silence so you can't benefit. In certain circumstances, I'm sure it could be terrible to deal with, but buffing it to have it removed or silenced a turn later puts you at a card disadvantage for nothing basically.
Stoneskin suffers from bad stats that cannot do you justice when you drop him on turn 3. Even worse when he gets silenced -_-
Protip: You never want to buff a card that is useless when silenced.
It's just asking to get 2 for 1d really really hard.
Honestly, the Ooze is just taking the position this card wanted and coming in on 1 turn sooner with actually viable stats on the drop (2/4 for 2). Giving him any of the buffs just doubled the stat value of the buff. Turn 2 coined in Ooze + Blessing of Might/Cold Blood will be the thing of wet dreams!
Sorry to diverge, but this card is only made more useless by the existence of Ooze!

Anyone play Stoneskin Gargoyle I thought the card was interesting but not great. I would think it would have some potential in maybe aggro pally w/ Blessing of Might or Blessing of Kings or druid with Mark of the Wild , Mark of Nature ,orPower of the Wild or even zoo or a decks with Shattered Sun Cleric
thoughts on it?
