Warriors typically run weapons that allow them to clear the board with ease, but they will be damaged. The warrior's hero power is the equivalent of health, but slightly better. Mages however, want to keep as much health as possible because they are not as defensive as the other classes. This allows the mage to clear creatures that are big threats in the game with caution. Warriors have a lot of control early on, so mortal strike would run great against a warlock handlock deck and so on
Its about the feature pie of each class. Warrior have conitional removal (need marked), "heal" in form of armor, and weapons. A mage staff for strike could be "cost 3, atk 2m, dur 3" and be rare.
Lol it was just for example, givin mage a "striker weapon", not really aiming for a real card.
Spell power on a weapon would be quite powerfull, becouse you dont need atack and its a semi permanent bonus. I can see something like cost 4 atk 1 dur 4, when you damage a hero with this weapon, draw a card.
Um, because mortal strike is less powerful in WoW than fireball.
The one thing Warrior does absolutely NOT need atm is a buff to one of their removals -_-
Plus it is quiet obvious that a physical attack is not as strong as fire damage ;)
Well played sir!
