It's really stupid to have a card be able to be played for 0 when it's an 8-8. I understand that it's not always like that, you gotta take damage blah blah, but seriously, it's just silly.
Putting a player you know is running Molten Giants in range to play them, for free or incredibly cheaply without being able to kill them that turn, is silly.
They should make it that molten giant can't turned into a taunt instead. I'm okay with it being at 0 mana, but when it becomes a taunt... that's a whole different level of trouble.

I've heard this argument so many times and I don't think the people who use it are really thinking about what they are saying because it sounds ignorant as hell.
1. You never know anyone is running molten giants for sure unless they are a hand lock and they can put themselves in range with their hero power so playing around cards that may not be in the deck is stupid.
2. Ice block has to be popped at some point on mages and I'd like to hear how everyone without a flare is supposed to get ice block off without bringing them low.
And most importantly:
3. Not everyone has a combo in their deck that can do 15+ damage in a turn. A lot of decks have to wittle you down and those decks rely heavily on the concept of tempo. Are these players supposed to just let their minions sit on the board not doing damage waiting to get hit with flamestrike or for the alexstrazsa/pyro combo to come out? If I was the mage and my opponent had minions on the board not hitting me turn after turn I'd be happy to ping them repeatedly and draw and maybe even play moltens at high cost to force the issue.

I think the point isn't "don't ever put them in range of Molten Giant", it's more along the lines of "Don't put them in range of Molten Giant unless you have a way to deal with a Molten Giant". If you aren't running significant burst, and also aren't running any removal, you have no excuse to complain about Molten Giant.
To me Molten Giant is just another strategy in a world of thousands of different unfair one sided strategies it just comes down to whether or not someone is able to pull it off. Usually they are going to be playing it as a "last ditch" just trying to slow you down or delaying the inevitable. Sometimes that may not be the case and it may win them the game but they usually could have possibly won with a different strategy. It all comes down to RNG. Also when someone Hordes and Card Draws all game and then drops a Mountain Giant on turn 5 for one mana with a Sheildmasta, Then you can complain.

Can I complain about a turn 5 mountain giant coin sunfury protector then?

If someone ever plays a Mountain Giant for 1 mana, I'll have every right to complain.
Then save a BGH. And you dont have every right to complain. Its a part of the game. They put the three giants in there for exactly that reason. And again there is a long list of other cheap ways to get beaten. but to each his own.

is there really that much of a difference between a 8/8 for 0, and an 8/8 for 1?
Well if it was that good like you are pointing every deck will play it... but that isnt case.
Mage's suddenly love this card for some reason, and they rarely play it at 0 cost.
Seems like a perfectly balanced card to me. It can't be abused with charge mechanics anymore so I have no problem whatsoever with it.
Moved to Card Discussion.

I don't see the relevance. He didn't even correct anyone's grammar...
Doesn't even make sense. Hopefully you found it funny at least.

Poghy not "everyone" has 15 + burst damage I don't know where you are getting that from.
