Given the wording on Poison Seeds, and the revelation that the text on Ancestral Spirt is going to be changed so that it interacts more with Deathrattle - does anyone think that Hex & Polymorph are going to be changed from their current effects to "destroy & summon" cards?
And what is the "new" text on Ancestral Spirt? BTW Naruralize, BK, both Power Words should also be added to your list. From this position I think no changes will happen - two much rebalancing of too much cards IMHO.
The new set is supposed to have a bunch of strong deathrattles. Why change the few cards that can actually counter a deathrattle?

I'm so glad there is prejudice against playing hunter/zoo/[insert FotM deck here]. People like that make the life so much easier for those of us who play to win.

No, those cards just removal cards - it's clear that they would trigger deathrattles. Tink could be added, but that's about it.

For just that reason, they counter deathrattle. If Blizzard wanted deathrattle countered in this set I think they would have used "Transformed" for Poison Seeds.

We already have half the community whining about X deck, where X is the most popular deck of the format at any time. The standard answer is "learn how to counter it". I actually hope Blizzard gives us a new (good) silence to counter deathrattles, retroactively changing cards that actually do counter deathrattles doesn't seem like a good idea.
Btw, there is no way Blizzard does that, so this is purely an academic discussion.

There should still be counter play, i don't think blizzard intends to make spellbreaker and owl the new tink and pagle (running in every deck) although that may still happen. Like all new cards spoiled, poison seeds' ability had to have something to do with death. Transform wouldn't fit the theme.
Ancestral Spirit is probably changing because its wordiness could be cut down by just making it "Give a minion Deathrattle: Come Back to Life" or something like that. Hex and Polymorph are actually transforming minions, both in Hearthstone and lore.

I think ancestral spirit should just be called deathrattle, we already have a card called silence and charge.
I have no opinion on whether or not they should be changed - I'm curious if anyone else thinks that they might to keep them in line with the other mechanics we're seeing.
Also - while kill & replace would be a nerf for the purpose of removal, it would actually enhance these cards for the rather less popular friendly-fire effects.

Transformed is the key word for hex and polymorph, you aren't being destroyed and replaced. Don't know why anticipate any changes to those cards

I doubt they would nerf some of the only counters to deathrattle other than silence.
Unlikely. The whole special thing about Poison Seeds is that unlike other cards it works with Deathrattle, so I do not feel they'd change it.
