I recently made a homebrew Big Warrior deck that focuses on cheating out big Charge minions and Ragnaros, and quickly realized the deck stands no chance against a Barnes opener from Big Priest without the likes of something as ludicrous as 6+ board clears and 5+ single-target removals, and then of course the deck would inevitably lose to Weapon Rogue, Freeze Mage etc. So I figured I'd have to lowball my deck's Recruit results by throwing in Cornered Sentries and Leeroy. So far they've treated me pretty well; I haven't played against many Priests since then (because their sadistic luck extends to matchmaking as well) but my deck's been successful so far nonetheless and I feel it overwhelmingly necessary to make a sort of PSA about this card anyway, particularly because Big Priest deserves as few wins as possible.
Odds are that Barnes is gonna be drawn by Big Priest by turn 4 or 5. It's just probably going to happen if they have any semblence of luck because Anduin's RNG is nothing short of sadistic. Thankfully Cornered Sentry's raptors make Resurrect spells extremely volatile, causing the odds of Resurrecting a 1/1 minion causing all sequential Resurrect spells to revive 1/1 minions very likely. To further muck up Resurrect spells there's also Leeroy and Saronite Taskmaster, as well as Muck Hunter in Rush or possibly Big decks. The counterplay is there - don't pass it up!
So, if you're considering playing as Warrior in WIld for whatever reason and your deck has any excuse for running Cornered Sentry in particular, do it. Consider the other aforementioned cards as well if they fit with your deck's theme. I'd suggest dropping Baku from Quest Warrior specifically to run Cornered Sentries. I'd even recommend one Cornered Sentry in Pirate Warrior as it plays well with both Frothing Berserker and N'Zoth's First Mate. At least until Big Priest finally gets the nerfs it deserves.
