A tip that has helped me lately is to recognize the direction of your draft is going... And recognize your win condition.
Say for example in the first 10-15 cards you get a really solid early game, with high quality cards, and a good early curve, try to build your deck around it. Pick cards that compliment your deck and not always the highest quality card.
Look at some of the posts which rank the different classes in terms of desirability in arena. I'm not saying to be sheep like and always pick the class that other players swear are the strongest. But maybe think about the reasons why those classes are favored. Plenty of guides and discussion threads to be found out there on this topic.
Arena decks/matches are commonly minion heavy, so consider the class options a few different ways:
How will each class' hero-power affect your game? (Mage HP is good removal with reach, while Rouge gives you a weapon you can use twice.)
What common class-specific minions/weapons/spells are you likely (or hoping) to get? (This topic is controversial, but I'm just saying it's something to think about)
Are you more familiar with the tricks/mechanics of one set of class cards over another?
Can you imagine a class having more than one dimension given you are restricted to selecting random cards? That is, given 30 random pics, can you make a control, aggro, attrition, tempo, or mid-range hunter or is another class more flexible?
And, of course, it's generally better to "go with what you know" until you get the hang of things and want to start learning how to pwn arena with a class you're unfamilar with.,
There is a lot of nuances that will affect your decision about class selection down the line. But I think what's above is a good start.

Better to be the hammer than the anvil or the metal shaped between.
