It takes a lot of time, practice, and dedication. Read up on basic arena strategy, check tier lists, and watch streams, especially the drafts.

Watch the lesser viewed streamers like SimCopter1, ADWCTA/Merps, and ShadyBunny, because they usually go very in depth with what they pick and why, as well as in depth with different lines of play when possible.

After a while you'll start to get the hang of it, trust me, don't give up. 

Also Solemn Vigil is not f2p, it's in the last slot of BRM if we're going by the same logic of Elise not being f2p

Two guys is actually really good. Gives you a win con if everything else fails. Gives you an edge on fatigue. And you have something to throw out every turn. 

I believe this is Chakki's DreamHackAustin list, except we have Harrison instead of Ooze. There's another one card off but I'm not sure which. The list was designed to combat other control decks in a tournament environment. As your list stands it's not too great to ladder with. 

Actually this his is exactly Chakki's only difference is Harisson instead of Ooze. Which is bad btw because if you are targeting control you might have a full hand, playing Harrison may cause you to burn a key card, and you generally won't need the card draw much anyway. I believe that's why Harrison didn't make the cut in this particualr context.

I would say even if you don't like the deck, Edwin and Xaril are staple rogue cards anyway. Edwin is good and Xaril is great, and that is agreed upon by most rogue players.  Personally I like them both a lot and think they're worth it, especially if you've got the extra dust.

Seriously, people are over reacting way too hard about this. They're acting like blizzard lined up their family and executed them one by one or something. Good lord lol

It is seriously not the end of the world, take all your discontent into "wild" mode.

I personally don't give a shit, because most of the time when you open packs you don't get the cards that you are looking for anyway. Also, you can still craft the cards you need, which is a better way of obtaining cards instead of trying to get lucky with packs or whatever.

No. I really do not understand people's concern about the new format implementation, it's not some life changing thing. There will still be the legacy format and it will be great in years to come, so your cards are still valuable. Right now standard is pretty hype but that's not the only thing that will be played. Simply put, dust them if you are shortsightedly only seeing standard as your only destination to play, or you can hang on to them to enjoy the "wild" mode, which will probably always be relevant.

It's not that great, it hardly ever gets its beats, but when it does, it's pretty good. You have to have a really solid early game to protect it and hope your opponent doesn't have an answer, which they almost always will.

A tip that has helped me lately is to recognize the direction of your draft is going... And recognize your win condition.

Say for example in the first 10-15 cards you get a really solid early game, with high quality cards, and a good early curve, try to build your deck around it. Pick cards that compliment your deck and not always the highest quality card.
