So I have been playing for about 2 weeks now and reached 11 wins twice, once last night and was 1 damage away from the dream, was bleak but it happens. So I used my coins to rebuy into arena and chose Druid (not super strong with it). I Have watched a bunch and been playing a lot of arena and I think this deck is the chosen one, I ended last night 5-0 and will continue my quest later. Just want to hear what you think and if I got a chance and what I need to look out for. First 5 games were blowouts btw. Think the mix of early and late is good, also has big surprise value.
Last time I got Druid I got 3 swipes, This time none to draft.
The 3 innovates have been really handy. I actually got 3 as my starting hand in a game into fen creeper turn 1, Turn 2 innovate mark of nature so had a 7/6 with taunt, he conceded turn 4. Was very risky though, thought what the hell. The watcher actually wasn't to risky as I already had the 2 silences and then picked up the 3 Marks (nature and Wild) so Figured I could just make him really big while I set up other plays, If he gets silenced then I still have a 4/5 for 4 or 5 mana. Its also a confuser as the opponent doesn't really know what to do against it while its the on turn 2.
Think the curve is relatively good and the quality of the 4x 4 drops are good, can always mix and match with hero power and the innvates will make other plays possible so I wasn't to worried on lack of 4s, Questing can quickly become one too. I know this deck lacks removal and is susceptible to being rushed hard with big creature removal but that's how I feel against hunter most of the time.
You don't need aoe if the rest of your draft does well enough. My first ever 12 win run was with paladin w/o Truesilver or Concecrations (I don't think I even had Hammer of Wrath). 2 Knife Jugglers and 4 Argent Protectors wrecked people though.
Haha I made it all the way to 6, 2 warrior control and a rush warlock had me done :) next 2 I played I thought I had utterly average decks and got 9 and 8 wins. So what I have learned is that you really never know. That 12 will come I'm sure of it and it will probably be a deck I dont think has 12 wins in it. I watch Trump alot and he predicts his wins after his draft, I just see 7 as a win as its a free booster pack, anything else is bonus.
LOL...... 1 or 2 would have been great I know but was all that was out there for me in 2's. had 3 on the board full health when I dropped baron Gedan and opp had 1 card in hand, was a bit of a laugh.
