Arena is unplayable at the moment. Mage is SOOOO bullshit. They get more random shit into their hand than cards that they play. And like 90% of all mage spells are top tier arena cards. You need 0 skill to play mage atm, just a bit luck that you get the 10th meteor that you didn't draft. It's utter BS and feels unrewarding for both players.
Arena is fine. Proof? The top arena players are still the top arena players. Ratsmah, Hafu, Kripp, ADWCTA,Merps, etc are still all consistently hitting 7+ wins. This means its the player base that hasn't adapted not that the meta is unbalanced. The main thing is that Arena has changed from primarily a tempo game to a value game. It changes how you need to draft and how you play your removals. Also we have the most taunts in arena ever so you can't expect to rush your opponent down with minions.
If the april stats come out and the top 100 arena players averages have shifted down considerably then I will be proved wrong but I don't think they will.

It's not we can't hit high wins consistently, it just too many swings. I don't feel good when I win with those broken cards. These are on the level beyond Faceless Summoner. Arena in this patch is all about the quality of your deck, decision making isn't matter anymore. I feel sorry for them when they loose to the triple blazecaller

I mean I get what your saying but I feel like decision making has gone up not down. The cards are all so strong now that its a lot more about choosing what piece to use when as opposed to curvestone where it was more about just making sure you play your curve. Its not necessarily a game losing play to just pass a turn now and that feels great. I hated it when the game was did I pull a 1,2,3 drop ok I win. Meteor seems to be the main complaint people have and you can play around it if you just always assume they have one and be pleasantly surprised when they don't. That being said I agree that Meteor is too strong, especially with the high Epic offering rate.

I disagree that Arena decision making has gone up, I think it has drastically decreased. Now it is hope to draft power cards then play power cards over and over. In the past, people used to have to make interesting decisions about how to use pretty blah cards, only when you reached high wins did you face powerhouse decks. Now powerhouse decks are found at any record.
For example, take my last arena match at 3-1. The game ended with my opponent having drawn only 12 cards. In the game he played 3x Fireballs and 1x Firelands Portal. The 1 Firelands portal killed my monster, the 3x Fireballs went face. Some very tough decision making for my opponent that game. It was basically draw Fireball (x3), play Fireball (x3)
I'm a skilled arena player, I've only paid for adventures, so I am by no means a whale, and I think this is the best arena experience ever.
Maybe that's just because i'm better than I ever have been in arena right now, which could just be a result of skill gained over time, but you are acting like skilled players can't go infinite anymore or something like that. I have an average of 8.5 wins in my last 10 arenas, and I I think it's because mainly these things:
1. Mage is OP, which is the only problem arena has. Not anything else. Everyone should pick mage every time.
2. I draft greedily.
3. I play around only the game winning answer.
I think #3 is what everyone needs to work on. You are all saying "I can't play around all this!" But I'm saying, "Why do you care so much about playing around stuff?" Only 1-2 cards can REALLY screw you over at any given moment, and you can't play around Mind Control Tech Power Overwhelming Shadowflame, so Why bother? Play around the few cards that make you lose, and that's it.
To kinda see my drafting Mindset, I reccoment Checking out my recent Warrior Run. I picked eight cards against what heartharena recommended, and got the 7 wins. I'd rather have a Win Condition than a card that's Generally better.
In any case, I have found that VERY RARELY was a game lost ENTIRELY Because of RNG. It happens like once every 20 games, tops. Usually a little bit of RNG just helps a player stabilize, or win a game they were already winning. Not often are you winning, and then you are instantly losing to RNG. If you are, it's because you didn't play around something you should have.
"But what are the odds that he has this one particular card!? It was the only card I could have lost to!"

That just sounds like a really lucky run on the part of the mage to me. There is no way the mage has enough fireballs for that to be consistent through multiple games. I guess I should back off though and say this isn't my favorite arena ever. That was probably during LoE arena meta. I guess my final point is I like the Ungoro meta much better than the 7.2 threat and response meta that existed after the offering changes but before Ungoro. The terrible Epics would just drag your deck down. And something does need to be done about mage. The high offering rate of spells just gives mage so much of an advantage. Rogue and Mage are on top because they have the best spells for sure.

Everyone in the top several hundred "consistently hits 7+ wins" regardless. It proves the sky isn't falling, but not much else. Where specific players sit in the top 100 from month to month could be a different story.

But if the meta was inherently more luck based then before then you would see a shift downward in the top averages due to weaker players being able to get wins against better players due to luck. If that is not happening then it means that skill can still carry the day in this meta. If the meta is still skill based then its not so much bad as just different then before. I think the class disparity is too high right now but it seemed people were talking more about specific cards/luck factor and less about class balancing though.
Ok, so if you guys conclude that arena is not bad since all top players are at the top then please help me in arena!! What should I do in arena? Go face or trade? Go for value or just throw cards to save my face? Draft low drops or high drops? Which class to choose? Please help!ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
I don't think they should've moved Arena to Standard. Just remove some annoying cards like Zombie, Torch etc. But this balancing is hard and Blizz don't have time to waste for Arena. Still, as it is now, Arena will quickly become boring. Before I could go to Arena to rest from ladder meta. Now I see same cards that I just saw on the ladder and I'm like... again?
Mages are fucking BROKEN in arena right now. You literally have zero chance to win against them if you're playing with the most of the weaker classes at higher win tiers. I really believe Blizzard needs to reduce the chance of mages showing up in the class pick or just fucking stop giving them broken arena cards...

Volcano is the worst.. Its way too cheap to cast.. its fine for constructed play.. but its just way too oppressive in arena
Seems ok.

I mean, I'm putting 150 gold down to roll a dice to see how many wins I get.
Lets hope for this run not to be 99% mages.
No, people complained about curvestone because there was 0 deck diversity.

My latest deck: http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1366184-scholomance-charge-rez-priest-wild
I was super unlucky with my first 5 runs but since then it has been fine.
Just fill your deck with one drops, that is creative deck design, right?

Ok, here's my recent rounds: mage (9) pally (5) priest (7) warrior (6) Druid (4) hunter (7) rogue (12) shaman (8) warlock (3)
I tried every class, warlock is trash for sure, the new cards are mainly constructed-only for warlock.
Mage and rogue are insane, and shaman is very strong due to mass board clear and elemental synergy.
Druid has the potential to be good. If your opponent doesn't remove everything you play.
Hunter has many high stat card, and many 1 drops are pretty good.
Priest somehow can craft at least one dragonfire potion every time, all they need is play on tempo till turn 8 and throw their big stuff on.
Warrior got many nice taunts, a 5 mana 6/9 is very good
For pally, you craft steed and board clear, easy wins.
The cards in ungoro have more impact than msg.
And, I didn't get to craft any legends in these runs, too bad can't try Elise
