So, it's been ages since I played arena, but I thought I'd give it a go. First choice, as a paladin: Hungry Crab, Quartermaster, and Djinni of Zephyrs. My initial leaning was to take the Djinni, since paladin has some buffs, but I decided to check heartharena's opinion and it's recommending Quartermaster. I was surprised, because my experience in ranked has been that Quartermaster is underwhelming more than it's useful - the recruits rarely live long because everyone knows how dangerous they can be, so the Quartermaster is generally only useful if you can Muster the same turn. I dunno about arena, though. Any opinions on how useful Quartermaster is there?
And it says something about the meta that I actually thought briefly about Hungry Crab here, to kill the Murloc Knights that all the paladins will likely be running.
QM is not strong at all. If its your first pick then pick the Djinni. Unless you get muster for battle, you'll never get the full value out of quartermaster
It's not constructed, you don't need to play muster + quarter master on the same turn. Usually opponent cannot fully clear 3 1/1s by muster on turn 3. So turn 3 muster, turn 4 coin + quarter master is much stronger play than the full combo at turn 8. You get value for quarter master even if it boosted 2 dudes.
