A new season is about to begin in Hearthstone, and with it comes a brand new set of cards! As such, the first question we all must ask ourselves is this: What the hell am i going to play first?!
In this season everything will change. All ranks are reset; so is the meta! What do you plan to start your climb with, or think will be the most effective list early in this release? How confident are you in your ability to rank up in this situation? Is there anything that is exciting or concerning about the release of these new cards? There is a lot to consider and be hyped about this December, and the wait is finally over! In fact, it felt like MUCH less of a wait than during the release period of Old Gods, so i commend the development team on how they have released Gadgetzan in such a timely manner this time.
I am very excited to get my hands on these cards and go nuts. I am going to be playing Jade Druid right off the bat (of my own design) although i expect there are many others who plan to do the same. I am very interested to see how high i can climb with it.

I'm going to grind a lot this new season with my own decks. A Jade Golem Ramp Druid, Jade Golem Shaman, and a Dragon Priest (Also Control Tempo list as well).
I am really looking forward to playing with my own decks, and fine tuning them in Season 33 :)
I'm also gonna try and reach legend this month. Finally I have enough time to play. Probably gonna play Renolock, midrange hunter, jade druid and dragon priest.
I was able to put together my primitive idea for a jade druid. Decided to try it out with many new cards. This is the deck i will play playing straight away this season.
I'm going for rank 5 again, made it yesterday after one or two months of not really trying and not making it. My plan is to buy 25 packs with gold when the expansion is released in a few hours and use the 500 gold I will have left to play an Arena run every day for the next 2/3 weeks. Then I'll make a decent deck with what I got from the packs and go for rank 5 in the last week of the season.
I think I'll definitely try some Jade Golem Druid (seems OP to me) and some partly fun/partly competetive handbuffs Hunter deck, hope it'll work well. I finished season 32 with my personal best, unfortunately new meta perhaps will require definitely more skill so I rather don't expect to beat it fast. :/ I hope that my favourite Tempo Mage will survive meta changes, maybe even with some improves from MSoG, but definitely I'll wait with playing competetive to half of the month, things will be more stabilized then for sure.
I've got a ton of dust but only enough gold for 40 packs, and I do not like to craft too quickly (I don't want to end up with a costly Troggzor), so I guess I'll beat up people with mid-shaman and get into crafting and playtesting in a week or so, when I have a better idea of what is what.
I finally reached legend for the first time during the last season ( i ended the other seasons around rank 5 or 3) so i think rank 5 will be just fine for this month. And speaking of the extension, i'm super excited to try the jade golem druid, and the new priest cards !
Ironically I think mid-shaman might rise up from most hated deck of the moment to lord & savior who keeps the pirate warriors in check, go green jesus.
Been playing miracle rogue myself, Red Mana Wyrm is just insane, and my winrate has been okay (66.7% over 18 games), but I fully expect to finish the season with a glowing 0% winrate against pirate warriors :D
I don't understand pirate warrior isn't a good deck at all. It's luck and very bursty. They do not have draw so if you clear their board or even heal they do not win. If people learn to play around them they can be beat. That doesn't mean you cant get fucked by them because you very well can.

New meta hype!

I'm gonna play a new competitive rogue archetype! Oh wait... Nvm. Miracle Rogue again.

Would this deck work for the meta? I need help refining it http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/666319-maniac-giants
What's your take on the meta so far?

What do you guys think about the grind? Is it easier this month, due to the new meta?
Everything that isn't about elephants is irrelephant.
Hello,
Trying to reach legend in this first month of gadgetzan with pirate-miracle rogue.
