So finally did it on my 6th try. Weird thing was, it wasn’t even difficult this time and I had some pretty tough monsters (Gnomeknapper, Face Collector, Reaper Robot-thing). Basically I just ignored all the spell-synergy stuff and took the treasure that makes big minions cost (5) and then drafted as many legendary cards as I could. It was incredibly easy. Infinite Toki was a joke. Makes me wonder how it was so incredibly difficult all the other times.
RNG. You can have the best deck and get obliterated by the 4th boss if they draw the nuts and you just don't get the removal.
I thought I had Infinite Toki beaten easily the first time I got to her. I used Impetuous Companion and stole her Alternate Timeline. I continued playing safely, making sure I didn't die, feeling pretty comfortable that I could use the card whenever I needed to. I had her down to 14 health and used Alternate Timeline. Game restarted, me with 14 health and her with full health. I guess if I had analyzed carefully the temporal dynamics of playing your future self I would have realized you can't trust the card text.
I picked Elementals every time I got the chance and needed two attempts with Toki, having +2 Health on your minions and the First Aid Kit passive that heals all your characters by 2 each turn is an insane combination. In general First Aid Kit is an extremely valuable passive that also carried me through my Tess run, pick it whenever available as it will help you survive and outlast tons of win conditions from your opponent.
This. Ignore the random stuff, forget the hero power (unless you want to reroll a glyph or something) and go full board control. Worked well for me too
I must really suck at this game because I've killed over 120 monsters with TOKI and only made it to Ultimate Toki once. RNG can suck it. I absolutely hate Toki dumbest hero power, crap cards. its not even fun.
Honestly can't win with this crap. I get +3 spell damage and then get buckets with no spells. Choose Minions cost 5 and get only spells. Is there anyone at Blizzard I can slap for this?
183 bosses killed and counting... When I do get to Toki, card draw just falls apart. Might I see 200?
Felt good for the last run - Had high cost minions cost 5, double health, the 1/1 weapon that gains 1 attack for each minion killed (never drew it), 3 Ragnaros', a couple of Blaze Callers, other elementals, and a Meteor. The stinker treasure was trigger deathrattles twice. I picked it thinking good synergy with Pyros and my minions costing 5 to get a couple of 10 10 minions on a 10 mana turn, but it doesn't work that way, ended up with only 1 pyros returned to hand, upgraded once. Never got a chance at other deathrattles.
I stupidly stopped recording mid-game and alt-tabbed so you will see some edits.
Got lucky in my run (no surprise there). I missplayed a few times during the first 15 minutes of the match. Hadnt played hearthstone in almost a year, so was a bit rusty and unfamiliar with some of the cards.
I had to deal with her assistants twice, but luckily found the answers to get rid of them. Troggzor was my MVP.
Still stuck on this garbage toki hero. Totally fucking fucked is how I would describe it. Boring ass clownfiesta RNG. One of the most horrible designed adventures ever.
I think the most general advice is to get the Double cast on a first spell and Double HP, whatever else doesnt rly matter, these two will carry everything. The +2 heal at end of turn is also pretty cool for survival, especially vs final boss.
Then pick a lot of good spells (Chaos bucket, is it?) to utilize the double cast and use your hero power to tip RNG in your favor. It was pretty smooth sailing with this strategy.
