I also wondered if there is some sort of script that penalyze players without tavern pass.
I noticed an incredibly high number of times where my minions have 66% chances to attack a minion that would allow to not lose the game, and yet they go straight into the one that lead to loss.
The avenge minions seems they have a magnet on them too...
“I also wondered if there is some sort of script that penalyze players without tavern pass.” Getting closer and closer to tin foil level of conspiracy. Please god, let it not go there, I’ll do anything.
I assume that with sniped you mean that your key minions got targeted as the first minion. If you instead only looked at games where your key minion DIED as the first minion, then your conclusion is flawed as it usually has the fewest health and can thus die more easily.
This can even be used as an alternative explanation of your key minions being targeted more often, namely that lower health minions have a higher chance of being targeted. They might have added this to mimic that it usually is better to target minions which you can actually kill, so that the random targeting is a bit smarter, but yeah this is just another conjecture. Still, very interesting data you collected although you cannot conclude what you want to conclude with it.

Then how do I explain my recent run of just absolutely getting run over lately? I have bought the Battlegrounds Pass every time since it started.
The amount of times lately I just run into an opponents who have boards that are just miles better than mine on turn 8-9 is ridiculous. I'm getting way more top 8's than top 4's as of late. It could also be that I rose in rating and am facing better players and have not adapted. That would probably be considered nonsense around here though.
I'm almost 100% sure this is correct. I played this game for years now. and even just now i had the impossible odds. I had the perfect setup with this setup Monstrous Mawcaw+Reborn > Monsterous Mawcaw+Reborn> Hawkstrider> Impulsive Trickster (TAUNT>Famished fellbat(Taunt)> Mad MatadorTtaunt) > The Walking Fort(Taunt)
So what do you think happens? i had 3 Battle's against the same person.
and every single battle started Exactly the same. The enemy's first target attack > Mad Matador (Taunt) (reflects attack) Second attack> Impulsive Trickster (Taunt) third attack> Impulsive Trickster(Taunt) fourth attack> Impulsive Trickster(Taunt)
I've seen way more unlikely things and didn't think anything of it. I'm surprised by the amount of people who don't understand large data sets and probability.
Haha, you forgot that it's pay to win. They can and will tilt the odds in favor of people who spent more money. Other developers have been caught doing that as well. I'd be interested to see a study.
There we go again with this shit. Not a week goes by without the same groundless accusation being thrown around based on whims and feelings. The game tilting the odds for people who pay has been thoroughly debunked countless times, it there no end to this idiocy?

Would it matter if there is a study? Would you actually believe the results if they differed from what you want them to be? The answer to both of those is no. You refuse to interact with anything that opposes what you believe.
One would think that with the amount of people playing this game surely someone else besides a few random people on this site would have come to the same conclusion as you. They haven't though. There's also add-ons like Bob's Buddy that simulate the battles and seem pretty spot on in terms of probability. Do they know if you paid Blizzard money too and adjust your odds?

Looking forward to your presentation.
