The most important part is missing imo. Basic card set rotation.
As long as there are strong class cards in the basic set Waraxe/Flameimp/Manawyrm every deck of the class will use them over and over again. If you nerv those buff others, they will just switch places.
Also classes that have a heavy load of garbage in their Basic set are just fucked.
The solution can only be a rotating basic set like in MTG were this is done with some brain and not just sudden shitscare of devs.
Mayb to keep class flavour implement a core set behind this rotation of max 3-5 cards for each class were druid gets for example Innervate/wildgrowth etc.
The rotating part cards are free ofc to not fuck new players but old players will have the gold cards available.

Hi, I'm a player in Asian server and I've been playing since TGT(last year of April, I think).
*Made a 3 line summary at the bottom. It may be a long talk.
I think many players have experienced Midrange Druid before the nerf, Secret Paladin, and Aggro Shaman.
What I want to say is ,because of the standard format was introduced and became the major format,
classes with strong classic set (warrior, mage..) will continue to be tier 1~2, and this is ruining the game.
Shamans, for example, was almost always tier 3~4 before LoE came out.
They are now tier 1~2, but what we should mind is next year with all cards from BRM, TGT, LoE disappear,
they will suck and I'm serious about it. (Look at Tempostorm's past Meta Snapshots)
Rogue, Priest, Paladin, and Shaman became the victim of recent expansions, simply because they have less good classic cards.
Other classes have more cards with value, such as warrior's Fiery War Axe.
Because they have powerful basic cards( and also because they get much love), they don't struggle that much although the meta changes.
This makes the meta boring, like facing Horde all the way up the ladder.( never actually saw priest, paladin, even rogue)
Yes, I play priest and rogue and I'm not complaining about getting shits like Purify.
I complain and worry about where this format is heading to. The boring meta of Midrange and Aggro decks.
I understand that there will be always 9th class, but it doesn't mean some class should suck and others dominate the metagame.
I'll end up by summarizing into 3 lines.
Regular balancing is essential, Add cards from Wild for balance or at least change the cost of classic set class cards,
and Please have a survey, just listen to players and design next cards.
Thanks for reading this long.
ps. I wanted to post ratings of each class since Naxx, but I couldn't find it. Does anyone has it?
I disagree.
It's not that the already existing cards need balancing, there needs to be more cards added to the classic set.
I returned to this game much like how a recovering alcoholic can relapse.

Shaman actually has a lot of good basic cards.
