So i had a unfortunate thing happen towords the end of a Arena match. I was down to 5 health but had just caught up on the board with all the tempo. I would have won probably if he didn't do it with direct damage this turn. board looked like this. Me- Azure Drake [card]Anubisath Sentinel[/card] Cruel Taskmaster,,in my had was 3 other minion one being another Taskmaster. He had nothing on board with 4 cards I had 5 health he had 23. Like I said I think I had the game if he didn't have a Starfire So he goes to play his card ,holds it out there for a min and im thinking great its over hes just bm'ing.
So I wait for it to come and it never does. Something went wrong but the game is NOT frozen. 18 minutes later were still in the same spot, his card hovering and everything still working just fine. All the emotes, interactions with the board ,all buttons everything still works. Now the only thing for me to do is just quit and take the loss which kind of bugs me cause this is arena, this is my money here! Here's a screen shot. I just wonder if he figured out he couldn't win and did something with his connection to keep lagging and reconnecting but i dont know. Has anyone had this happen to them?
Yeah, I've had it happen to me a few times. The only thing I think you can do is if you see it hovering for 30+ seconds. log out then log back in. That should reconnect you to your game and hopefully you won't have missed a turn yet.
Jup this is a bg causing game to crash after a spellcast. Basically its just another reason to save gold atm. Happend wtice to me this weekend so its realy bad like raptor was, pretty frequent.
Your internet connection failed. Even if it was for such a small period of time u didnt even notice. What u need to do in this situation, when u see your opponent get stuck with howering card over his hero, is immediatelly ctrl+alt+del shut down the process and restart HS, because your opponent can still play and u will get rekt, in arena missing even just one turn is pretty much gg most of the time and if ur gonna wait couple minutes to see if this resolves itself, ur gonna give him more then one turn and by that time u 100% lost the match already. It is not guaranteed solution, but best one iv found working for me ;-)
Well thanks for the info. I didnt think of shutting down and restarting cause I wasent having any connection issues. As far as I could tell i never lost connection, my modem is right next to me and never seen any disconnects. But I guess its possible is was a tiny hiccup and the modem never even registered it? If this was any other game mode i could care less, but with it being arena it just makes it pretty annoying.
