I am after some tips for my deck. At the start of the season, I played KitKatz warrior control deck with the 2x Hoarders and Kron's. During the first few days I was beating legendary players and ranking up well. However after a little break and fiddling around with other decks and having fun, I decided to try rank up again but I seem to be stuck around rank 13. My main problems are rush decks, if I don't get the right draws. Is this just the way it is, and I just need to grind harder? Tips to beat meta welcome.
Would really appreciate any input. Here is the deck:
I have the exact same deck rank 2 atm. I don't know the experience that you have, this is a very difficult deck to play and requires difficult dicisions.
I don't win miracle rogue, other that that I am climbing in a good pace. the deck is good vs everything else..
You may want to consider playing another deck to rank up faster and use this deck in higher ranks I believe there is better...
Haha @ macisimo I actually did run Arcanite Reaper but JUST changed before loading up the deck! I agree I find Arcanite better. I also did run Harrison but I am not coming up vs weapons atm, so I switch him in and out for what I am facing. Though earlier today I crushed a doom hammer for a 6 card draw.. /drool.
Well I LOVELOVELOVE Control Warrior, and I've been a lot higher in ranks this season playing ... cheese Zoo but I think it's boring to play.. plus I already have 60 lock :P
@Turalyon71 Thankyou, I will try those changes, I only added the Frothing in as well before uploading. I don't really like running them, I find them pretty useless most of the time.
Hello there. I am playing control worrior last season rank 3, this season rank 6 and adjusting to new meta. I am playing different composition ( No Alextraza, No Gromash, instead deathwing and more 4 Drops (Senjin, Yeti)+ Craine. I have no trouble fighting most aggro decks, 2 whirlwinds, 2 cleaves, more taunts, craine, stampeding kodo)
Remove Gorehowl for Arcanite Reaper. ( It costs 7 mana wich is too high too afford taking damage yourself at turn 7 and not be able to use your other cards with that much card draw. While Arcanite Reaper is much more cost efficient and have potentialy more damage to enemy hero.)
Remove Armor Smith for Ooze (or) Cleave/Amani Berserker. ( Armor Smiths is a bit overated card with no real value, 1-4 minnion for possibly of 1-7 heal is not impacting the board and the game that much - simply put it have to buy you the time to reach turn 10+, and when facing agroo, you are dead by turn 8, without taunts)
Remove 1x Acolyte for Frothing Berserker/Second Cleave/Whirlwind. You dont need that much card draw, exchange card draw for board pressence.
Consider Changing Korkron Elites and Drakes for 2x Senjin Shieldmasta/Indiana Jones/1x Venture Co merc/Craine/1x Blood Knight/Kodo. Too stop aggro you need 5+ hp minions or taunts. I suggest you to add additional whirlwind (enraging Gromash and cheap aggro removal), and remove those Drakes:)
Thanks, very helpful post. I've tried some of your suggestions, it feels a little different. I really did like Alex and the combo. But your suggestions really give me the option of applying a bit more pressure early on. I am liking it so far although I am yet to face a Zoo. But in other matches such as druid I feel more confident now, running the yeti's/masta's than the drakes.
Here is what I have been running today and it's been going well unless I make stupid mistakes. I might switch out Cleave for Brawl or Baron, but this deck has been going great for me today. Although I don't think it's really control, I am calling it more mid range.. but I am focusing on board control.. sooo. Anyway thoughts on this?
I feel like Baron is a necessity in this meta. I was on the fence AT FIRST. But when I played him, and used him at the most optimal points, totally won me the game. Multiple times. Well it's a piece of the puzzle that had won me the deck each time. A big piece. Like, takes up about 2/5ths of the entire puzzle board big. Obviously mainly against freaking ZOOO decks. AND Shaman. An example of where it has saved me in actually multiple Shaman matchups as well: Far behind, just almost filled his entire board and put down 2 Flametongue totems, he has his second wolves on the board, etc etc. MOST of those minions are either 2 or 3 health. Turn 10 obv, or just flat out turn 7 if theyre mostly 2 health, but Drop Baron, an Armorsmith, and Whirlwind. Gives you 2 armor from whirlwind, which soaks Barons 2 aoe damage to all, then gives you 1 extra for that Baron. And that kills everything 3 health or lower. Which lets you save (assuming you havent used them ALL yet) stuff like Shield Slam and Execute and all that good stuff. And if you were in that situation to begin with you were most likely losing, so that actually ended in you gaining at least 1 armor instead of taking 2 damage straight up, hurting you more.
And generally whenever I have to do this, I usually have to Alexstraza myself to heal back to 15, clear etc, and you make the most insane comebacks from here. If they couldnt remove Baron, boom. That's 9 damage each turn to them, 2 to you but if you armor it's neutral. You win either way. OR they drop Baron, and still have to deal with Straza, either way you generally get to get huge armor gains from here until the end. And you just totally overpower them and win after they thought they were guaranteed that game. Situations mainly like that are why I love Control Warrior.
Well I deleted all of my current versions of Warrior and decided to start from scratch with suggestions posted here in mind. I am currently very happy with the deck. I am still trying out Deathwing, but so far it's been working out great. Anyway thoughts?
Edit: Forgot to mention, I really like the drakes for the draw, and WW combo vs aggro decks. This has been working well for me, and I like not having baron too. I still may switch DW around however.

I played a similar deck at lower ranks with approx. 40% win rate. It just isn't that strong imo.
Hello there,
Imo -1 Azure, -1 Frothing, +1 Slam. +1 wirlwind...

I do prefer the Arcanite to a Gorehowl at the moment. At least at these ranks.
