I think I see the question you're asking. E.g., opponent C'Thun is at 10/10 and yours is at 15/15, what happens when you play a +2/2 buff if you thoughtstole one into your hand?
I'd imagine they have a way to show both of them, but it wouldn't shock me if they only had an animation revealing the one that's YOUR C'Thun, and not the other. Otherwise you'd need 2 animations to show the new 12/12 and 17/17.

I'm pretty sure they mentioned that the C'thun buff is an aura-based buff on your hero, so any C'thuns in your deck would match whatever buff is on your hero. I'm unsure however if the buff resets when you play one. That makes a difference for if Doomcaller gives you an already buffed C'thun or a fresh 6/6.

There is a C'thun card that shuffles C'thun into your deck if it has been killed, pretty sure it won't require you to "grow" it again.
Yeah its a permanent player aura, so the buff will apply to any cthun on your side of the board throughout the game, and we have not seen any indication that this aura gets reset at any point.

If you got the other one from.. Let's say Thoughtsteal. So now we got two C'Thuns in our deck.
And now we play Disciple of C'Thun.
How would they buff and what would it look like?
Would they both buff and would it show both of them? Or would both buff, but it would show only one? Or would only one buff?
I don't know, but I had a brilliant idea for a sitcom called All My C'Thuns.
Mostly Harmless

Gang up anyone?
