Based on this MtG article (https://www.channelfireball.com/articles/decks-like-deaths-shadow-will-always-become-the-best-deck/), the more cards are injected into Hearthstone Wild, the more the best decks in the format should approach disruptive aggro versus permission control. Since Hearthstone has few permission/prison type cards, the best disruptive aggro deck in the format should be the overall best deck in Wild as time goes on. I don't think we're there quite yet, but Tempo Mage is already very well positioned.

The secret synergy package is extremely fast and provides some of the best card selection/tutoring combined with free mana in the game, both of which are key components of a strong disruptive aggro deck. Counterspell is one of the strongest disruptive plays in the game. Effigy is one of the weakest cards in the deck, but the extra secret is worth it, and Effigy is currently the only other tempo-oriented secret. Since Effigy is not heavily played, it is often possible to successfully bluff.

Since this deck pulls a bunch of cards out of the deck in most games, the curve can be quite low — in fact Fireball already feels clunky, and I expect it to be replaceable if a future expansion brings us another efficient tempo spell. Firelands Portal might just be straight up worse than Loatheb, simply because of the mana cost.

This deck is weak to face aggro, but otherwise feels fairly meta-independent, since it basically just relies on the power of undercosted card draw and early board control, combined with burn. I expect it will only get stronger in the future, and I plan to keep the list updated.
