This is the final list I used to push from Rank 1->Legend with 3 hours to go in the April 2017 season. Key choices include one 2 Mortal Strikes and one Bittertide Hydra. The core of the pirate deck is very static with only a few choices - Vicious Fledgling, Hydra, Greenskin, and Golakka Crawler are your options. The anti-synergy of the Crawler along with very few pirates on ladder at the end of the season are why I did not use them.

In March 2017 I recorded a 65% win rate from rank 3->legend and from rank 2200->1300 on the legend ladder with my pirate deck from that month ( http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/756672-pyros-legend-pirate-warrior-deck-march-2017 )

This deck was a 57% win rate from rank 3->legend in April 2017, and matches were much more difficult, requiring keen knowledge of your opponents decks and when to trade and when to go face, and when to play to your outs.

So the bottom line is that Pirate Warrior is still very strong, but it is not the insanely overpowered deck with little to no counter like it was in March 2017.

As far as anyone who wants to rag on me for playing pirate warrior... come at me. I like playing aggressively in card and board games. It's true that aggro decks are easier to learn, but at the higher levels of play there is a definite nuance and piloting of the deck that requires you to know how your opponents decks work, and I've seen many people make very bad misplays (including at the recent DreamHack Austin tournament) by not understanding how to work this deck against the opponents' decks.
