This is the freeze mage deck I played to #18 Legend over the course of six hours: vod here
I also finished the season at #12 Legend after playing nothing but this deck for the final week of the season.
Its performance against miracle rogue has been very strong, with ladder victims including Tides of Time and Massan.
With only two legendaries it's not the most expensive deck out there, and in my opinion it's the most viable mage in today's high-legend meta.
edit: 2x loothoarder out for 2x novice engi for better topdeck value later in the game

What do you think of this variant of your deck? Me personally i took out acolyte of pain and a giant for 2 doomsayers, but tell me what you think of it!
I love that deck! xD
Alex, plus frost bolts+ice lances. This deck is really strong.
Anyone care to share mulligan strategies?
Otter says, go for card draws when deciding on a mulligan. Arcane Int most of all, 2nd you want to look at your opponent predict what he/she is going to play in the next 3-4 turns. Doomsayer/Nova for aggro/zoo, Blizzard if you have coin, stuff like that. Plan ahead
Go watch some videos, I think your are playing the deck incorrectly.
I crush zoo locks
zoolocks are easy mode with this deck
What about adding Molten Giants to the deck? Given that you're frequently low on health, wouldn't they be a good addition to the deck? Have you tried adding a couple of Molten Giants and seeing how it works? Love the deck btw. So much fun!

here's a link to a game I played last night. my opponent was the #9 Legend NA last season (I was only #12) and he was playing control warrior. I beat him with this deck. luck was certainly involved but if I can beat one of the best control warriors in this game, it's not "100% GUARANTEED LOSS" now, is it? maybe you're playing the deck wrong.
I don't know, w/o any dispel or silence in the deck, it's incredibly difficult to play against larger creatures when your cards don't pull to give you necessary combos.
After winning 3 in a row...I've lost 7 in a row. Getting spanked every time in my bracket now, it's not even close, nor is it even fun. If you don't pull the right cards in this deck and the right time, it's dead in the water it seems.
vs Warriors and Priests, it seems like it's an auto-loss, and right now, those are the 2 dominant classes I'm facing.
Can't you say that with any deck? You don't draw right you lose?
But I am in the same boat. But like everything you have ebbs and flows so keep with it you will start getting away from those bad matchups and back to the norm (zoo, aggro, etc)
It's true that a bad draw creates problems regardless of any deck...but when a deck consistently gives bad draws or does so more than most, there's a problem.
Yeah, I don't see how you can lose to ramp druids unless they get a ridiculous opening hand. 0-5 against this deck, and it's infuriating.
I'm 0-3 against this as a Ramp Druid. 2 of the matches I played HT as well. Just can't attack quickly enough to kill before Blizzards/Novas/Doomsayer comes out. Alex into Drake, Frostbolt, Lance, Lance, Pyro, whatever. Unsure how to win against this deck besides drawing into two WGs and innervate.
Anyone else finding that the warrior matchup (thanks to their hero power) is an instant loss?
lol yes! After winning 3 in a row and getting a big head about this newly found deck, I got completely spanked by a warrior. It was no contest, done in round 7 or so. He started w/ a Faerie Dragon (?) and I just had nothing to counter it. THen another came out, then he buffed them, it was over so quick.
I figured lol. Oh well. I predominantly play Zoo and I have a hard time with the control warrior anyway. This is nothing new.
This deck is awesome! No one knows what's coming. Opponents always have the advantage until the end when the Alexstraza/spell cards kill them in two turns. Amazing.
Question though. I heard this deck is very good against Miracle. I just got smashed by one albeit it was my first and only miracle matchup so far in the early ranks. What's the strategy for the game and mulligan for this matchup?
I have the (hopefully bright) idea of adding a Nat Pagle to help either the card draw / stall play, as most player use hard removal on him or ignore face until removing him.
Had anyone tested this deck with him ? I removed one of the Novie engeeners that took the lot hoarders place ...
Thoughts anyone ?
