Midrange SecretDin
Hello everyone i am Grannis 8x Legend player since beta and i would like to share this deck with which i climbed to legend since it was one of the most fun decks i have used recently.
proof of legend
Basic Mulligan guide :
Vs warrior : keep truesilver, flame juggler, secret keeper, beckoner of evil
Vs warlock: Keep consecration,flame juggler,secret keeper,beckoner
Vs druid : keep aldor and keeper of uldaman + ,flame juggler, secret keeper, beckoner
vs shaman : keep flame juggler,secret keeper,beckoner
vs priest : keep truesilver ,flame juggler, secret keeper, cthun chosen
vs hunter: keep flame juggler, secret keeper, beckoner of evil, noblesacrifice
vs mage : keep flame juggler, secret keeper, beckoner of evil and truesilver and cons and noble sacrifice don't forget against mage you need to stop his early pressure in order to win
almost all of the time you will sent away competitive spirit and repentance unless you start with secret keeper.
If i get more likes I will write a more detailed guide.
Edit: wrong legend pic at proof sorry for the mistake i fixed it
Edit2 : Reached Legend again today this season very fast i just replaced keeper of uldaman with 1 extra truesilver due to the warrior meta we are going through
Also thank you all for your support and likes i will try to update my guide as much as possible and give everyone as much feedback as possible.
sometimes i think competive spirit is not good for this deck :D +1 though
Along with the Keeper of Uldaman for 2nd Truesilver Champion change I also did:
-Secretkeeper x2
-Redemption
-Noble Sacrifice
+Disciple of C'Thun
+Aldor Peacekeeper
+Argent Lance
+Psycho-Tron
I tried the heavier amount of secrets in the deck for about a dozen games and they always seemed to be lack-luster even when I drew them with Secret Keeper. The replacement cards were added primarily to maintain board control and add some longevity to the early plays in the deck, and so far it's been working out great!! Thanks for the deck idea! :)
what about lightlord in this deck
Lay on Hands is the only real card draw in this deck so you'd need to consider another way to get cards :/
Awesome deck
Well done making a formidable paladin deck. NA ladder is strewn full of Warrior and Yogg/Druids. This actually matches up OK vs. those decks.
Mulligan for Paly pls
Whats the matchup against warrior/zoo/shaman. There should be some sort of mu chart imo.
Would you consider tech-ing out a Secretkeeper for Harrison Jones or even an ooze? I liked secretkeeper back in the earlier seasons, but now with not as many Secret Paladin around it's not as strong.
I am pretty happy about the results of this deck :D It is pretty strong and does well on the ladder at the moment!
Fun deck! Definitely throws a curveball. Glad to find a fun Paladin deck!
This worked surprisingly well so far.
Really nice deck! Good idea ;)
I guess Bog Creeper is a decent replacement but Twin Emperor Vek'lor has way more value
This deck gets destroyed by aggro.
did you play it once and just decide to say that? i'd say -1 lay on hands -beckoner +2 argent squires and aggressively mulligan for 2 drops. that gives you a 30-40% chance for a real 1 drop, or a 50-60% chance of a 1 drop if you count the secret. which isn't that bad if you think about it.
I played 5 games and lost them all (3 shamans and 2 zoolocks). This deck does not have enough board clears and struggle against decks that floods the board
you do realize that 5 games is a super low sample size and sometimes shit happens? I've lost 5 in a row against zoo as c'thun warrior but its because I didn't draw any of the multiple 2-3 drops the deck has. this deck has 4 1 drops which gives it equal or better odds than all current midrange/control decks in the game. Only hybrid or aggro decks run more than 4 1 drops. secret keeper can ramp up faster than a lot of decks can deal with and if they waste their removal on it they won't have any for mysterious challenger, and if they have removal for that how are they going to stop c'thun?
What should I do when matched against a mage?
Keep as much early game as possible and keep truesilver champion and consecration to keep him in check.
