EDIT - Sadly this brawl's over, I'm overjoyed that so many people enjoyed playing this deck over the last few days. If this brawl ever comes around again I'll definitely create an updated version including any new cards that are suitable. Aside from that I'll try to create new decks from time to time for you guys to try out.
Tips for playing this deck
Mulligan for spells that help create minions.
Always try to get Flare when against a mage or hunter.
Freezing Trap can stop a druid from getting big threats out early.
Don't use Freezing Trap along side Misdirection.
This deck has loads of removal, but make sure you're using the right spells for your situation.
This deck is flexible, if you're missing cards then improvise.
Majordomo Executus is funny to throw in if you're against priests a lot, and can also help win jousts.
Have fun!
Edit - Wasn't expecting this to take off, wow! I wish I had an active twitch channel or something to promote here, instead all I can say is thanks for the love everyone!
Edit 2-
Thanks again everyone for all of this love, wasn't expecting 20 upvotes, let alone 200!
The user Kiwiinbacon has created a video of the deck in action so I thought I'd post it here for you guys to check out, he's pretty thorough in explaining all of his decisions so it's worth watching if you're not sure about the deck.
Another Edit -
Here's another video of the deck in action this time by a user named JoRoSaR. In this video you get to see him trying out the deck for the first time and also giving a great commentary on what he's thinking every turn.
Just played two games with this exact deck. Won both while laughing hysterically. This deck's ability to create minions through spells is great, and it's ability to remove enemy minions is absolutely soul-crushing. Along with the Hunter hero power and weapons for direct damage, it was a ton of fun to play.
That Feeling When: a Priest plays like 5 cards to buff his Molten Giant for a one hit kill and emotes "Well Played"... only to concede after getting rekt by a Freezing Trap. Priceless.
Not sure how this deck can even win lol.. Played against it ths hunter did nothing but play a few secrets.. I think that a turn 3 dr.boom is stronger than this thing :p
I didn't see your match, so I don't know what happened, but it is entirely possible that your opponent mis-played the deck, or maybe you just got some really good RNG.
I can definitely see the temptation to play Lock and Load too soon, before you can get a lot of value out of it. Personally, I held on to it until I could follow it up with like 3-4 spells, thus maximizing its value. IIRC, I went second in both of my games, and having The Coin helped a lot because it counts as a spell.
I don't know what gives you a Dr. Boom on turn 3, but that is pretty strong. However, Hunters have a lot of removal to get rid of minions like that (e.g. Freezing Trap, Hunter's Mark + Arcane Shot / Quick Shot / Kill Command / Explosive Trap).
I encourage you to try this deck out. It's not a 100% guaranteed win--I mean, no deck is--but it's a lot of fun, and as you can tell from the numerous posts in this thread, people are having success with it.
Went 5 for 5 to finish my daily and it was stupidly easily. One priest conceded turn 2 after healing himself (while at 30) and taking a dart trap to the face.
5-0 most fun I've had with a hunter in a long time.
Just played a priest with this deck. On turn 4, he cast Mindgames, whiffed, and conceded.
How strong is that 0/1???
I had no all cards (missed 2x[card]Lock and Load[/card] and 1x[card]Misdirection[/card])
added some spells instead (2xSnipe and 1xFeign Death for tenetics). Seems still awesome
Thank for your great deck
This is an awesome deck. Fun too play too. I didn't think Hunter would be so overpowered in this brawl.
Awesome deck.
didn't use snake trap, and went with some cobra shots, cause sometimes you need just a tiny bit more reach.
oh man, the lols when you flare away a mage's ice block...
Great deck. Played 14 games and won them all. A few were really close and I just got good RNG but still, thanks a lot for this.
I can't seem to get matched against terribles or other like folk that these other commenters have. People are catching onto this brawl and what was surely once a strong deck is pretty mediocre.
It's probably how you're playing then. Cause I'm using this deck right now and the only thing that has beat me is the exact same deck. Everything else is easy mode.
Oh, I did take out snake traps because I don't have any, and think they're shit in this deck anyway, and replaced them with that quick shots.
This is the first time I've seen Shadow of Nothing. Thanks for that!
Yup. Just happened to me too. Loved it.
I did sub the 2 Tracking and added 2x snipe. Never was a big fan of playing one card, discarding 2 and only getting 1 card back (albeit a chosen one).
As others mentioned, this deck can win without Lock n Load - it's like icing on the cake really.
So, I just played against this deck. The funniest thing is, this is the most I've ever seen a hunter think in a game *by far*. I'm not talking salty ropers, but actual, unexperienced, decision-making. "Me no smorc? What do turn during?" Thanks for making my day.
I usually play a controllish mid-range hunter that involves a lot of decision making.
