Overview

Cheap version of a deck that I put together for the "cast 40 spells" daily quest.  Shocked myself with 4 wins and no losses against Warlock (rush deck), 2 Mages (aggro decks of some sort) and a Warrior (control deck with 5 legendaries and a bunch of epics in it... he was 5 points into fatigue when I won).  It's the first deck that I've played that both beat a solid control deck *and* a solid rush deck, so thought I'd share.  NOTE: if you are "L33T" this deck may not be for you... good results at rank 15 doesn't necessarily translate to good results at higher rankings.

Playstyle:

It was a fun deck to play because the high amount of overload gives you some a lot of options.  Like with most Shaman decks, I find mana management to be the most important thing to watch... you really want your cards to either leave you two mana to allow you to drop a totem or you want to have nothing left, especially early in the game.  Mulligan aggressively to get one of your two drops and one of your low cost spells into your opening hand (LB or Rockbiter).  This deck seems to be best as a midgame deck, so keeping the board under control early helps a ton.  In general I'd not go crazy dropping cards / minions early on, use spells to keep things under control and drop totems when you can.

Ideally you can then enter mid-game hard with your unstable elementals, protected by spirit wolves or spells.  This will either draw silences / removal or can end the game fast.  Silence / removal is fine, though, since it protects your fire elementals and mana tide totem later in the game.   Win conditions are some combination of windfury to a fire elemental, bloodlust to a strong field and lava burst to the face.  It's not a OTK deck.

I didn't play a hunter or a priest with it yet, but I suspect the deck would be weak against them.

For folks that want to tweak things:

The deck is based on cards that I had on hand, so there are definitely a few upgrades you can make if you have more epic or legendary cards.   In particular:  trade the Kobold Geomancer for Bloodmage Thalnos if you have it.  I actually ran Doomhammer in the deck instead of Argent Commander, but it was not a good fit.  I would seriously consider an Earth Elemental or a second Feral Spirit instead if you were improving the deck.  You could also replace it with a big legendary threat if you are lucky enough to have one.
