You can find me using this deck in action on Twitch during the day at http://www.twitch.tv/tdsyonkou (currently a new streamer). Although I've played with many different decks, it feels this deck is the most easiest to pick up on and seems good all around except vs Grim Warriors or sometimes Dragon Priests.

Proof of Legend Status
This is a very simple and affordable deck to play with or craft. Most Tempo Mage Decks are all similar but I believe my version is considered Tier 1 instead of Tier 2 since the results have been phenomenal. I've reached as far as Rank 19 this season but i forgot to screenshot it. It only took me 8 days to get Legend with this deck this season because i stop playing after 100 gold for the day.
There are many Mage Tempo Decks that uses extra monsters for spare parts, but I believe all that is unnecessary. This deck is solid all around already and you do not need the extra monsters for the spare parts. I also believe Boom is such a better drop than Rhonin even with the extra 3 arcane missiles. Most could argue that arcane blast is good for the deck for a 1 mana cost spell, but I believe it's too gimmicky. It can only be utilized for early board clear for 2 damage or a small boost to your flamewaker which is pretty much the main card theme for this deck.
As for arcane intellect, the reason why I only run one instead of two is because since I'm running 2 Drakes. I felt that one arcane intellect was more than sufficient, because i wanted to put 3 secrets in instead of 2 when I'm running 2 mad scientists. It is just so much more value when you run 3 secrets with 2 scientists on board. Without saying, Archmage Antonidas is your main backup monster when things are going bad or well... going well. LOL.
I could go on and on about how to play vs each deck but I'm just going to give you some quick tips:
- Always keep a Flamewaker in your starting hand if you get the coin VS Hunter or Paladin. If you also have arcane missiles in your starting hand that would be awesome to keep too or mirror images.
- The best starting hand to have: is always mana wyrm, mad scientist, and frost bolt / flamecannon. When you are fighting any class, having at least one spell in your starting hand is always a bonus, especially VS Druid for Darnassuss.
- When you fight against Warriors and have Mana Wyrm and Mirror Image in starting hand, don't hesitate to use both at once on turn 1. Sometimes an early Assault like that with Win Axe prevention will give you an early edge against their armor. To be honest, I find Warrior to be the worst match up for Mage Tempo Deck.
- There are so many more things to cover and I'm such a lazy person. So if you want to know more and learn more about how i play go ahead and catch me on Twitch whenever.
- MOST IMPORTANTLY HAVE FUN =)
Glad to hear that man, I'm actually on a losing streak for the past 2 days haha. When the bad draws and rng hits, you feel it hard. It's still a fun deck regardless, glad you're having fun!
Haha glad you're enjoying it and having good results with it.
Yeah a lucky portal can mean an early advantage for the win when you get lucky =)
Lol yeah it can be really ridiculous sometimes winning you the game completely, well if you get lucky enough to get a good portal =)
Stuck at 4th rank, secret pala or control warriors are everywhere, what should i do with them?
Just try to get some early board presence with mc dins. It means a lot once you have board presence before they drop mc on turn 6 but you would need a good starting hand also to be able to get good board presence vs mc dins. As far as warriors goes, it can be a very rough matchup. I personally struggle with control warriors myself due to their weapons / removals / armor. Just try to be as aggressive as possible early on if you have the hand for it but also playing around brawl.
Love the deck. Currently 17-10 with it due to the number of face hunters I have met. How do you handle face hunters and hand locks? I need near enough perfect draw in order to be beat them, and in most cases, not even then.
Against face hunters you would need a good starting anti aggro hand to beat them such as: wyrm, scientist, spell, or going 2nd with waker and a coin. As far as handlocks (demons) goes, most of my wins against them are from lethal spell damage to the face. It's up to your draws also, if you're lucky you might be able to finish them off w/o any spells at all.
Hey, watched your vod and seems like you used WE instead of counterspell and poly. is it any better?
I can guarantee you the win loss ratio remains the same. I've only put them in to stand a better chance against grim warriors (which got nerfed), and was too lazy to replace em back with the original cards. Since i'm moving to a new class next season i didn't feel like changing my list on my stream again etc.
You must win in the 9th mana
wow very nice, I probably won't have time to watch it anytime soon but when i'm stranded somewhere i will <3
Are there actually any replaces for Boom and Flamewakers?
You can easily replace boom, but wakers are like pretty much the main theme of this deck so I can confidently say no.
Can [card]Ragnaros the Firelord[/card] fill the place of [card]Archmage Antonidas[/card]? Or I've got to craft it?
Nice deck, I made two changes though (with quite some success so far):
-Flamestrike + Pyroblast - I feel that Flamestrike is just way too reactive given that we want to dominate the board at all times and keep the tempo up, while Pyroblast actually provides us with another win condition should we run out of steam mid-lategame.
-1 Arcane Missle +1 Arcane Blast - I think you underestimate the synergy this card has with Azure Drake - 4 damage for 1 Mana is an amazing tool on the board.
Best wishes!
I wouldn't go as far as saying i underestimated arcane blast; I was actually thinking about replacing one flame cannon with 1 arcane blast tbh. The synergy is great with drake but w/o it, it still works as an early board clear for 2 damage. I just felt that it's not really necessary since I'm still doing great without it. Good to hear on that pyroblast though, since the warsong nerf I guess you don't necessarily have to put a flame strike in.

That's some beastie win rate, keep it up = D
Ok, seems, now it works :D
