Hello fellow Valeera lovers!
First: This deck is not easy to play, certainly not if you are new to the class or the game. The winrate of the deck is highly affected but a lot of (more) decisions every single game. However i feel that this learning curve is a good thing. If you have played a lot of decks with Malygos before you can use that knowledge, also experience with Gadgetzan decks are an advantage otherwise it might take a while longer. Me myself have played a lot with both of those cards in the past and i still experience times were other lines of play might have won games i lost. I have played about 50 games with Beneath the grounds so far and in the beginning i thought it was total trash, but in a deck with this kind of strategy the card grows.
This deck have so far been working decent for me in the legend ranks. Im not saying it works any better than other rogue decks, but if you are a bit tired of playing around with the same decks and archetypes this deck might bring some freshness and joy. The main winning condition is Malygos but often you can grind out wins without it. Its very important that you decide what your winning condition will be in each individual matchup.
I just love keeping beneath the grounds against decks that dont put much pressure on you in the early game(turn 1-4). If the opponent have to use premium removal on the ambushes there is a good chance that your gadgetzan and emperor survives. And as we all know if the opponent cant deal with Mr Gadget they are just dead.
The deck also use two healbots, with a lot of cycle in the deck you dont need to worry about not have the heal when you need it. This allow you to take some damage in the early game without forcing you to remove minions in a inefficient way.
If you want to see the deck in action i play it for about 2 hours in my latest broadcast on twitch (www.twitch.tv/tokigatisdag) and will keep playing it on stream the rest of the week.
maly for what?
for 2 shiv?
and 2 sprints better than 2 auc.
on twith another deck and current deck not working for me (-2 rank)
Very fun deck - competitive and a much needed change
Pretty fun deck!. Went 12 wins and 4 loses.
Seems like a solid Miracle deck. As someone who played a Malygos Miracle Rogue (and certainly enjoyed the hell out of it) during the days before Blizzard decided that our ability to put our entire deck into our hand wasn't "fun" (Well It might've not been for the idiot who left Gadatzan alive for a turn but it was amazing for me), I am curious to see if this deck can bring back that enjoyment.
Unfortunately I fail to see how this can withstand the various huntards and paladins running rampant across the ladder. Sure you have 2 healbots and various spells but 1, a fair amount of those you want to keep for Gadjatzan and 2, you want to keep another handful for Malygos. I fail to see how this deck can actually get on the board and not get stampeded down by anything with the words "aggro" associated with it. Same goes for Beneath the Grounds, sure that may work well against Patron warrior and other decks who've taken a page from Miracle but an aggro deck isn't going to care. All they see is that you've skipped turn 3 and have been given a free pass to stomp your face in.
There's a reason that Miracle died once Gadjatzan became 6 mana. It simply isn't fast enough. While I wish this deck would work, until I see this deck being able to preform in an aggro dominated meta. You use Oil Rogue because with it you have a chance to wipe their board and come back in the game, with this deck, I fail to see that. Who knows though, maybe I'm missing something and it actually works great. I have almost all the cards (Beneath the Grounds still alludes me) so I suppose I could give it a test run.
Hey Tokiga I have some questions, Beneath the Grounds is really good? I mean I do not have this card yet and I'm always afraid of crafting it ... and why you do not use Violet Teacher?
Good stuff and thank you for your attention.
Thanks for the reply and ye I figured it was just that =]
Use Chromaggus to copy Beneath the Grounds
Feel like this needs Sprint
There isn't one, considering the fact that the entire deck is based around that card.
Love the deck man!
