Intro:
This is a deck that I've made tweaks to based on the existing rogue mech builds from the past. I'm not sure if this deck is capable of hitting legend, but it definitely works on ladder between ranks 15-10. Anything after that is a gamble. If you can familiarize yourself with the powerful plays and when to utilize them, this deck starts to show some true potential.
If you're new to the rogue class, I would suggest practicing on the AI for a few rounds.I purposely kept this budget-friendly because of the segment of players who are F2P. Cards are interchangeable, and if you have access to legendaries or tech cards -- feel free to make changes.
Playstyle:
This deck shares the same play style as some of the other "mech" classes -- in terms of minion synergies. Mechs are great because they're able to stick to the board and can trade well. Pair that with the weapon buffs of rogue and you can sneak some turn 6/7 lethals when left unguarded.
The idea is to swing face as much as possible. Only stop when you're absolutely forced to for taunts or favorable trades. Also, don't forget to use your weapon and buffs to clear minions. This deck also borrows from Oil Rogue with cards like Southsea Deckhand, Tinker's Sharpsword Oil, and Blade Flurry. If you can facilitate these cards in succession, you'll be able to push 17+ damage assuming you have a weapon with 2 charges.
It's not always sunshine and rainbows though. Taunt-heavy decks and control playstyles win most of the time if you don't have near perfect draw. You can practice playing slowly and hope for a string of decent draws, or concede to save time. I'm not telling you to concede -- but just concede.
GLHF!
I'm really happy to know that there are other people trying to do the Mech Rogue Viable,I've been testing a list based on the S10 Hyped's deck and getting impressive results.I awesome hit rank 128 legend with this list last season on NA!

the deck is midrange focused on mana curve and snowbol the early board to win the game,I crafted the Golden Dark iron skulker as you can see in the picture and this is my favorite card in the game atm, but I'm sure I'll enjoy much of Clockwork Knight from TGT and I think it fits very well in this deck. : D
Your deck looks really interesting. Would you consider putting it on HeartPwn and coming up with a guide?
Hey, I had not thought of that yet but you just motivating me!
here is a short guide: http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/294496-s16-legend-na-mech-rogue
PS: It is the first time I use the deckbuilder but hope you like it.
I liked it. Thank you.
Read the 2nd and 3rd sentence of the intro. I made no such promises.
I subbed out a few things because I had a couple useful epics, but this is a really great basis for a Mech Rogue deck--nice work. I've won 5 straight.
Conceal [/card]is a great combo with Sensei and of course Oil and [card]Blade Fury can be deadly. You are right that it doesn't have a ton of draw, but Jeeveshelps with that, and the Rogue weapon power gives flexible damage ability that can easily buffed. So the lack of strong draw hasn't been an issue. I really like to see low-cost decks that actually work, and this is one : )
For me, Backstab [/card]and [card]Cold Blood, while useful cards, don't really fit this deck. I also think that 2 Tinkertown Technicians is too much, so I dropped one (it's a little too mid-game situational for a deck that has a strong aggro style). I added an Ironbeak Owl [/card](because Taunts can really halt this deck) and a [card]Cogmaster's Wrench (a natural fit and I had pulled one a while ago but never put it to use--it's really effective here).
Thanks for posting this!
PS: why are my card links not working in some cases?
Hey Biff — I’m glad the deck is working out for you! Your suggestions are sound ones, and I definitely think the Ironbeak Owl in particular is a decent tech choice to bypass pesky taunts. I’ll add your card recommendations to a ‘substitution’ segment of the guide.
if you have Dr.Boom put him in for a piloted shredder. It works wonders
I wholeheartedly agree with you. I just left him out to keep this deck in budget range. But if you have access to Dr. Boom, adding him will definitely secure you some extra victories.
