Update:
Since Arcane Giant is out and the Wild Pyromancer + Commanding Shout Combo has proven to be good in OTK Worgen Warrior a combo Grim Patron Deck is playable again.
Playing Arcane Giant instead of Worgen as a finisher allows you to have extra deck slots for stuff like Whirlwind and Grim Patron-
Just felt like sharing this one again. It is probably the closest a deck has been to the old Warsong Commander Grim Patron Warrior.
The deck has seen high legend play by multiple players.
This is my version of the Grim Patron Warrior.
I tried to built the deck all around card draw. The more cards you draw the more likely you will have the right cards to combo in your hand at the same time.
I did reach legend Rank 1 with it on April 18th. (just for a short time but still)
Also I did reach legend Rank 1 with it on May3th. (after changing one card)
If you want to see the deck in action, follow me on twitch ( http://www.twitch.tv/senfglas_ )
Legend Rank 1 April 18th:
Legend Rank 1 May 3rd:
Mulligan
vs Aggro:
Fiery War Axe , Unstable Ghoul, Whirlwind, Frothing Berserker (Dread Corsair if you have a weapon already and Death's Bite if you have a Dread Corsair already)
vs Control:
Fiery War Axe , Death's Bite, Gnomish Inventor, Slam(Emperor Thaurissan against really slow control decks only, Dread Corsair if you have a weapon already)
How to play:
vs Aggro:
Just try to fight for board control as much as you can in general. Anything else should be fine then. Against Face Hunter: try to race them with your weapons and Frothing Berserker
vs Control:
Try to draw as many cards as you can while not loosing the board too much (the more you draw the more likely you will be able to play your little combos). Play a couple of Grim Patron if you know your opponent should not be able to clear them or just save them for the combo with Warsong Commander ( + Commanding Shout eventually). Also always keep in mind that you might be able to almost oneshot your opponent with a big Frothing Berserker especially after you got some value from Emperor Thaurissan.
Questions and answers:
Why do you not play...
...Grommash:
It could be good but i never saw a reason to put him in. I think I do not need him as a finisher. And playing him just as a big guy makes my opponent get more value out of his single target remove cards (which he usually does not get against this deck).
...Axe Flinger:
I do not need face damage on like turn 4 or in midgame in general. I prefer playing Gnomish there for an extra card draw. It also is not the best finisher in this deck in late game.
...Inner Rage:
My Mana curve is pretty low already. Still it could work well with Acolyte, Grim Patron, Battle Rage.
...Bouncing Blade:
Why would I? The card is just too inconsistent in my opinion. Also I do not want to fill up my entire board with Grim Patrons. Because in case of AoE damage I need space for new Patrons to spawn.
In general I think it is always much easier to say what card could be good in a deck than saying what card would I remove for that. And all the cards I am playing right now are working just fine.
Also check out this 2 minute video FailCraft made about the deck.

I just had a weird game with this deck. My opponent was a priest using a strange all-heal-no-damage deck. It would have been a realativelly easy win if it wasn't for 1 little detail: The LAST 5 cards of the deck where the 2 Raging Worgens, 2 executes and Thaurissan. Yeah, it MAY have been a last card win, but I was forced to spend all my self-damaging spells just to keep myself alive.
And even worst, when I pulled the combo, or half-combo, I was forced to first attack a taunt minion (Thanks commanding shout) and leave my opponent with less than 10...and he mind controled Worgen in the next turn, just to heal himself back to full health 1 turn after that. Eventually he kept 9 cards in his deck while I died of exhasution.
Tested the new build many times. Lost to mech mage and many agro decks VERY EASILY!
I removed the Patrons for a Dread Corsair and a Dr. Boom. They are no longer useful, but you still have 4 weapons, so Corsair Is a decent way of protecting your hero's health.
EDIT: oh, and Dr. Boom beccause...he's freaking dr. boom
"I know that feel bro" -Miracle Rogue
"FACE IS THE PLACE" -Deathrattle Hunter
This is a variation of the classic Worgen OTK which needs a lot of cards to hit the combo.
Raging Worgen + Charge + Cruel Taskmaster + Rampage+ x2 Inner Rage = 30 damage, 10 mana
I don't think patrons are nearly viable any more since they no longer getting charge, you end up paying 5 mana for a 3/3 and even if you manage to produce 3 more during your turn your opponent will have an easy task to deal with them.
And Thaurissan can make it 6 mana or even less.
CHARGE BACKWARDS; EVERYONE GET OUT OF HERE; MY BLADE NOT THIRSTY; I CHOOSE DEATH
Anyone tested the new build?
Also, i feel that gurubashi berserker could be a viable card now.
What if you added back frothing beserker and used bouncing blades to buff it up, and then gave it charge? You would fill the board with Patrons in the process and they make a great body for Bouncing Blades and Armorsmith.
Just stop, GPW is dead and its time to put the dagger in it.
What do you mean with "Warsong Nerf"?

Heh, Senfglas won't give up so easly eh? I like this guy..
RIP
RIP Warsong Commander
Why do you mention commanding shout when it's not in the deck?
Meaning to say, after the patch Commanding Shout may see play in this constructed decks like these.
I see now, thanks.
Dont have Armorsmith, what shall I put instead ?
Still my favorite deck. Still lots of fun.
