Welcome to the next deck designed to carry you through heroic Naxxrammas with nothing more than basics and those cards you earned from all the quarters.

Here, we shall be discussing the Four Horsemen, and how to defeat each of them.

First, Baron Rivendare's decklist, from Gamepedia:

Silence 1x
Soulfire 2x
Avenge 2x
Corruption 2x
Mortal Coil 2x
Redemption 2x
Repentance 2x
Frostbolt 2x
Shadow Word: Pain 2x
Runeblade (heroic) 2x
Drain Life 2x
Shadow Bolt 2x
Shadow Word: Death 2x
Consecration 2x
Mass Dispel 1x
Mark of the Horsemen 2x

Make a few notes: He has absolutely no minions, and most of his spells revolve around removal, meaning any minions you play, if they don't do anything the turn they are played, may be completely circumvented. Additionally, his weapon gains 6 damage if all of his other horsemen are destroyed, the equivalent of each of them put together, so ensure that you have a win condition ready before you take all of them out.

Warrior gives us a few advantages with a free deck: we have very cheap removal, and armor allows us to survive longer. The goal here is to get a single whirlwind and both executes by turn 3-4, in order to remove two of his minions easily, giving our health totals much more room to work with. The unstable ghouls can potentially work as alternatives to the whirlwind, and may delay a bit of damage (though likely not much), however, the executes are key to the entire strategy. This is the most rng part, and it still doesn't guarantee a win, but it does give you a lot of breathing room, as that's four less damage a turn that he is capable of dealing. You may need to restart the game a few times if it takes too long to get the executes. But then, we are beating Rivendare for free, so what more can you ask for?

Some other things to consider:

Save the oozes for when he plays a weapon. He only has two, which means you will save yourself some trouble and he isn't able to circumvent your options completely like later bosses can.

The spectral knight is great because he can't use many of his removal cards on it. Be wary though, as he does have mass dispel.

Be sure to constantly be playing taunts; while he may be able to remove them easily, sometimes he simply can't. He also will play corruption on taunts, which saves the health of his minions, but also saves you some health in turn.

Be wary when he plays secrets, they have the potential to wipe you out. The most annoying are avenge and redemption: thankfully, using two executes at a time allows us to ignore the former.

Good luck! If you have questions or comments, feel free to post them.
