Hi guys,

this is my somewhat unusual take on the Elwynn Boar archetype.

If you're lucky enough to draw two Elwynn Boars early (via Crystology for example), you'll want to put one of them on the board along with either Redemption, Getaway Kodo or Desperate Stand.

The main strategy, however, is to always hold onto at least one Elwynn Boar in your hand since it's absolutely crucial to have the option of playing Northshire Farmer targeting it. Paladin isn't very resourceful when it comes to generating cards and this one of his very limited ways of doing so.

You can then quickly fill your board with boars by playing your Call to Arms because the Mana cost isn't affected. You don't care if they get destroyed by a Doomsayer. Attacking your opponent's face isn't really the goal here as Sword of a Thousand Truths carries the biggest value. One swing and it's usually over.

You want to use Rally! as either a draw and anti-aggro mechanic.

Another anti-aggro feature of this deck is the City TaxEquality, not only it destroys your opponent's whole board most of the time but it can also be used to cycle through your deck a bit easier.

Anyways, have fun people!

Matchups:

Against Pirate Warrior, you MUST hardmulligan for Doomsayers, or the City TaxEquality combo. Otherwise, you will find yourself dead quite quickly. The latter option is more efficient unless they play Southsea Captain early.

Mage is quite fine, but watch out for Counterspell as it can destroy all of your plans since you're very reliant on spells such as Call to Arms.
