ShudderDaddy: I theorycrafted the deck immediately after the final card reveal stream so I was just going off of gut reaction. You're right that Waste Warden is not good enough. Overall, I expect control demon hunter to be unviable, borderline tier 4 but probably not even good enough for that.
Atramentar: I think that Outcast in general does not work in such a high-curving deck. I think Spectral Sight is weak even though you can just play it if you topdeck it, because it is not always correct to play it the turn you draw it. As said, Skull of Gul'dan is just too clunky here. I think Flamereaper is a good addition to the deck. Aldrachi Warblades is also worth considering over Khartut Defender, though the main reason I chose Khartut was because it can follow-up Imprisoned Antaen.
I don't think there's much room to make control DH good so I'll probably just leave this until the next set.
Skull is absolutely too clunky, yeah. It's never going to reliably be castable with its outcast effect. I do think Spectral Sight can work though, because it's much easier to afford being able to play it on the same turn as other cards, meaning it might be easier to get the outcast effect by playing stuff before playing it. 2 mana isn't very much in terms of cost.
I do also think you want Aldrachi Warblades and Flamereaper in this sort of deck. You might even want the Warglaives of Azzinoth, because the effect of Fool's Bane is a lot stronger when you have so many cards that synergize with attacking with your weapon. I learned this when I tried the premade DH deck this morning. For 8 mana you can deal 12 damage to minions and summon a 4-2 and 4 2-2s using two cards. Maybe it's not that good as control, but it's just one of the examples of how Warglaives interact in interesting ways.
I would try to add some better card draw. For example, you could sub Consume Magic with Spectral Sight. The latter offers more potential draw and you don't need that many silence effects (you have Maiev Shadowsong already).
Aside from that, I think:
Skull of Gul'dan might be too good to pass up. Edit: zynessa below me is right, it would be difficult to enable outcast with this type of deck and the card is kinda bad without outcast. Also, I agree with what the others said, the deck seems to lack a proper win condition. To be fair though, this doesn't apply to just your deck. In the current state of the game, if you're not aggro, galakrond or highlander, your won't have access to a proper win condition.
Skull of Gul'dan might not work that well because the list is so top-heavy in terms of mana costs that I suspect you will run into issues with trying to enable outcast. 5 mana draw 3 without the outcast feels really bad. Spectral Sight is a must have though, because how on earth can you win as control when you're constantly running out of cards?
All things said, DH control has the same problems that Control Hunter always ran into. You really need something like Rexxar to give you infinite value for it to actually work.
i don't see how do you you beat other galakronds or other control in general
I feel like there's so many better cards to run over Waste Warden. It's really only good against murlocs since treant druid is now dead, and unless the new Paladin Prime card proves to be super op I don't see any other murloc decks being run.
It also lacks a good enough win condition in my opinion. Imagine going against a heavy control priest. They will be able to deal with every single card in the deck and have infinite value through Galakrond alone. You also literally only have 2 card draw, both of which are conditional, and 0 card generation, meaning in the late game you're almost always going to be top-decking. You won't even have the tools to control the board against midrange lists once they hit their late game power spikes. I think Big Demon control DH just isn't there yet, sorry man. Feel free to counterclaim anything I said though as differing opinions and debate is what leads to the best decks!
Nah Daddy, I agree with you.
