----This is purely a theory-craft and will be subject to change after release----

PSA: We will be playing this deck on stream after expansion is released! Link to stream at the bottom of deck as I don't want to self-plug too much.

*I did not invent this deck/archetype, I forgot where I heard about it, but I have theorized this version of the deck.

Thank you for giving it a read! let me know what you think or if you have any suggestions in the comments! Thank you so much!

The main idea: (Simplified)

  • Step 1: Survive early game.
  • Step 2: Play Lucentbark
  • Step 3: Copy / Summon as many LB's as possible.
  • Step 4: Never lose board again and win game.

Currently I'm worried about the early game as we don't have much in tools that we want to 'throw' away. Swipe / Wrath are the only cards we want to use for early removal.

The replaceables...

  • Hungry Crab Is there to combat the new wave of murloc shamans.

  • Crystalsong Portal Is there to generate value early on. We always keep this in the mulligan and try to stay clear of other minions.

  • Acolyte of Pain Is teched purely for draw, and can be swapped for more early game counter.

  • Keeper Stalladris Tech-card, but I imagine he will give us much needed value for early removal with Wrath essentially being able to deal with 2-3 minions if you can get the combo. Can theoretically be substituted for a 'reliable' early minion. However I think the combo aspect will yield too much value to be thrown away.

But why....

  • Crystal Stag I believe this card will be vital in almost any druid-deck as they lost a lot of direct removal. Pair it with a draw from Predatory Instincts and at the very least you will have a 5-mana 4/8, with rush and in best case two 4/8's.

  • Predatory Instincts Tech-card to make Crystal Stag better, can be turned away for another aggro-tech or combo tech if it's too unreliable.

  • Safeguard I foretell that this card is the new Sludge Belcher - especially with Zilliax in the deck, it believe it will be extremely good against aggro and even control to some point, because we just want to slow the game down and find LB.

  • Juicy Psychmelon Draws part of the combo, and if we already have Lucentbark then it draws activators and copies. Or it draws Jepetto Joybuzz which in turn draw another 2 minions that either works as value generators for LB or LB himself.

  • Jepetto Joybuzz I think it talks for itself, it either draws part of the combo and makes it super cheap, or it draw cards that helps us generate more value. If he is too slow, he could be replaced for more survival tech against [insert new cancer meta here]

 The plan....

Generally we want to try and slam down Lucentbark with [cardFlobbidinous Floop[/card] in our hand in case the original LB gets silenced or otherhow removed without the deathrattle triggering.

Because next turn we are guaranteed 2 LB's if you play Floop + Faceless Manipulator for 9 mana.

We have a total of 5 activators in the deck - so about 5 waves of LB's

As the deck gets more finetuned I will touch up on the guide, and if we get more than 50 likes I will try and add mulligans, however it might be difficult to start with as we don't know what the meta will be other than specific decks such as Secret-Paladin, Bomb-Warrior, Murloc-Shaman and so on.

If you want to see it in action check out the stream at https://twitch.tv/urbankey we will be trying out this deck along with secret-paladin, murloc-shaman, summon-mage, and other decks on release!
