What happens if you play your first Riff as a Finale?

Warrior is going to be awful this expansion.
Also Verse Riff is just a worse Bash since it gives you less armor, deals less damage and you also have to take damage hitting the minion. It's barely better than using your Hero Power. Makes absolutely no sense.
So this is going to be "relics for warrior". Except they look significantly worse...
Why? You have to play them in reverse mana cost order to be any good. Unless your board based deck goes passive until turn 6, you are going to play claw... for 2 mana...
I really don't think that we'll see a cheaper riff, since they have to be none targeting and the effects here will never get really powerful. No potential 10/10 killer board. Remember, there's no Galvangar or other charge combo. You are probably going to play some hand buffing control pase deck where you are going to prioritize some pretty different cards
We're definitely gonna see verse riff go down to 1 mana and maybe chorus to 2 unless the respective legendary minion just pumps your hand with riffs...
Warrior looks really meh... there are few more cards + new core but I am pessimistic
Also... more parasitic mechanics...
If you play these without Finale these are an absolute joke. If you play them with Finale, they're still underwhelming. And the first riff will never have Finale anyway. The absolute best case scenario is playing two of the 6 mana ones in a row, which is pretty decent, but you're gonna have to spend 1 mana somehow on turn 7 to get the doubleup. I don't think people realize how constricting Finale makes you play patterns and sometimes you just don't have the ability to trigger it.
Gonna call it now that warrior's legendary minion reads "for the rest of the game, your riffs cast twice" and it's gonna be the only way to make them good. Or that these will all be dropped by 1 mana shortly after release.
Like holy crap warrior is getting dumped on. Again. Can we just get some standalone, un-forced synergy GOOD warrior cards?
Scavenger's Ingenuity
I will leave that there...
Alliance Bannerman

Seems balanced. You basically get each effect twice, which would make them really strong, except the Verse and Chorus aren't exactly effects that are good in all situations.
I don't fully understand the finale part: does "play your last rift" means mean it replays itself or the one previously played to this one? Like if I play first chorus and then verse on turn 5, do I get a second chorus or a second verse?
My guess is playing a rift the first time and activating the finale will do nothing. It would be your 2nd played rift with finale that would cast the last rift you played.
You get the one you played last. Basically you get every effect twice, eventually.
If you just compare the Riffs to Relics they look pretty bad.
1. Relics upgrade just by playing, these have Finale condition
2. You have location and legendary to support them. Other warrior legendary might be support for this, don't know
3. you have 1 mana relic that usually deals with 2 minions (compare to verse riff)
4. you have 3 mana relic that summons two 3/3s after 2 upgrades (compare to bridge riff)
5. you have better card draw relic...
There is just one thing that I firstly thought might make them interesting is if you'd repeat all previous riffs (because when you trigger finale it says "play" last Riff and then that one would trigger it's finale - cause you kinda "played" it with no remaining mana - which would again play last riff. But it most likely wouldn't even work like that and play is meant here like play music flavor word in this case.
this also brings up a question what happens when you play finale card for 0 mana if you're at 0 Mana already. Because Finale description is (at least everywhere I seen so far) that it triggers when you've spent your remaining mana on it. But if you play it for free at 0 Mana you technicaly didn't spend any remaining mana.
but I'm probably overthinking it and it will trigger anyway
no one compare to relics 🥴
Okay, now this is starting to become a joke.
3 mana draw a single minion hasn't been competitive for years. 3 mana do nothing.
Sword and Board literally rotated last year, and you didn't have to take face damage with it like you will with Verse. Plus everything has premium stats nowadays where most 1 and 2 drops have 3 health. Verse literally does nothing for 2 mana.
Sure, you got this finale crap, but really, are you going to be able to spend all your mana when you really need to? What's the best payoff? Unless there's more of these, the best payoff is 2 mana summoning 7/7 if you spent 6 mana previously. You literally don't want to be using these cheap ones till you can repeat a big one cause the payoff for recasting a cheaper one is not worth it. This archetype will have too many dead cards in hand that you're waiting to get value on and if you decide to use them right away, they suck and waste your turn.
This is literally the epitome of warrior architype design for the last year. Print some random crap that is completely useless outside its bubble (fire spells [lol], Enrage [Too many board clears and damage in modern day hearthstone for this to work], all the random non-sense naga and weapon stuff in voyage) Then when it fails, you can't put it in any deck cause it requires all the piece. This is a lot like skeleton mage. The pieces suck and are useless alone, but at least that archetype was meta for a while.
I think you're underrating the riffs. Think of it this way - only the first one you play is the weak vanilla version of it. Every other one you play after that is effectively playing two of them, as long as you can do it while spending all the mana for that turn, which is actually very easy to do, and Warrior does it easier than some other classes. Combine any two of them while only paying mana for one and it's obviously a good deal.
I don't think this is gonna make some incredible tier 1 deck - not on it's own at the very least - but I think it'll find a place in a decently viable deck.
You do an incredible job of ignoring 50% of the cards text when judging it
Can they PLEASE stop forcing overly specific packages that will never receive a support card again?
How is a generic +2/+2 and draw minion overly specific? Or a +2 Armor +2 Attack? And I don't think you can say for certain that there will be no more Riff cards in the vast future of hearthstone.
You basically need to run all three in the same deck, just like with Relics.
