It's really slow though.
quest hunter may like it, im not sure otherwise its a big tempo loss
"It's always Huffer" was 2014
Now it's "It's always Stag Spirit"
And there is quite a Ocean in powercreep level.
seed companion that deals 3 damage, quest hunter and face hunter thanks that
Fits pretty nicely into any hunter deck really. Nice card.
I wonder what the unrevealed legendary will do. Resummon all your Wildseeds and awaken them right away? Hopefully it'll be something a bit more interesting, but I expect it to be a high value synergy with Wildseeds that just fills your board, much like they did with posts and soul fragments.
The Legendary will be Ara'lon who is part of the Night Fae covenant in WoW and is VERY linked to Wildseeds. In fact there's a whole flavor video for the expansion where the story is about Ara'lon and a Wildseed he wants to protect.
So yes, I can basically guarantee you he'll have Wildseed interaction in some way. What that will be though? good question!
They always print obviously broken cards to try make you buy the expansion then nerf them a few weeks later. Safe to say the wildseed package is the cards of choice this go round.
That's actually likely cause both Wildseed card revealed today are epic, and one Legendary is still missing for Hunter and I suspect it will have something to do with Wildseeds as well
"obviously broken" you're bad and are just assuming the best outcome for this card at all times.
Also the card rarity is totally irrelevant because you get full dust refund on nerfs.
This card deals face damage and summons a target for minion damage spells, seems like quest hunter isn't powerful enough smh
You can't target dormant cards.
Holy crap, how is any other deck going to keep up with hunters tempo.
Dormant cards for multiple turns are the opposite of tempo.
Honestly, we still need to see Ara'lon which clearly it's going to be the Legendary for the Wildseed archetype, but at first this cards look insane for me, and then I remebered play with the Imprisoned Demons in Outland, and they were pretty slow back in the day, when the power level was lower than rigth now.
With this you deal 3 damage for (3)-Mana, which is pretty meh. And then you need to wait to summon a random minion that your opponent has time to play around it. It's really that much better than Animal Companion? You could have a 4/4 Taunt immediately, and that's better than a 2/5 Taunt in two turns. You could summon a 4/2 Charge immediately, and that's better than a 3/1 Rush next turn, and sometimes it's also better than a 4/2 Weapon in three turns.
I think that the cards are pretty good. But I'm not as sure that they are as broken as they look at first. Heartstone is pretty fast. Like if you play this on turn (3), your Stag awakes in turn (7) the game could be basically over for that point.
This card doesn't stand alone, because other cards synergize with it. It'll highly depend on the legendary how strong the archetype will be. And if said legendary can be tutored reliably.
If it does not come with a quest nerf, We can definitively assess that there is no real balance team.
Guys surely they tested these cards before right ? there is no way this is going to be as good as it seems right? right? the whole wildseed package seems crazy.
Why do they actively want to ensure that quest hunter will be so popular until it rotates out? Wouldn't it be time to tweak it a little?
