Is not even as good as Okani, it does not prevent the battlecry nor removes the minion from the game, the opponent can even abuse its effect. Don't get me wrong this card is gonna be played, I'd even say is good, but definitely not broken-needs-nerf kind of good.
That’s exactly my point dude, but some folks from here I think didn’t read me properly or they just wanted to argue lol.
It’s one of those cards that seems insane but end up being just plainly good and a nice slot for an specific game plan.
At most the only thing that’s argueable is the 4 health, don’t think that’s okay in early game, too much health for removing it, since it will probably “heal” you from 4 to 6 health if opponent trades it for getting the minion again. But can’t actually predict if that’s broken or just my opinion, maybe it’s a compensation for the fact that this triggers battlecries.
After following up on these Secrets and the Legendary attached to it.
OK... Team 5 Rogue Devs clearly sent some outrageous cards our way in this Set again, it's like.... almost none of them are not bland obviously Day 1 Auto includes.
Hell, even me as the ultimate Rogue Hater with like 3 Wins in Ranked with the Class (like ever) may switch to Secret Rogue, since we already know it's gonna be Day 1 busted, Day 1 Tier 1 aaand .... Week 2 nerfed
I don't understand why you've been downvoted 5 times, this is a reasonable opinion, maybe not nerfed in 2 weeks but everything else is true
Yea man who cares about Votes, I made a thread, so hopefully Team 5 keeps carefully monitoring their own cards during Launch, or else I'll have to refer back to my prediction, Rogue becoming too obnoxious again.
This is not a nerfeable card. You play around of this as you play around Potion of Polymorph, and this even gives you the opportunity to replay the minion.
And rigth now the archetype is also pretty okay. Shadowjeweler Hanar was way stronger as a Secret payoff, and wasn't nerfeable either.
What do you mean not nerfeable? Shadowjeweler Hanar DID get nerfed, he used to have 5 Health. Just as this is easily nerfeable by changing the stats of the sack and its functionality, by either making it summon the minion instead and/or let Battlecries through. Second one is way more important than it seems, given how strong repeating some nowadays can be...
It was nerfed? I forgot it. I only play wild and Hanar was never played in there. But still is a better card that the Legendary of this set.
Halkias is closer to The Glass Knight. Posibly the strongest card in this archetype is Ghastly Gravedigger.
And, btw. Kidnap triggers Battlecries. You play the minion, cast the Battlecry, your opponent gets a sack, and you return it to your hand. It's literally Sap, but you can't target the minion in compensation that your opponent have to kill a 0/4 before getting the minion back. The card can't be more fair than that.
For now I see this as an upgraded freezing trap. Both have their strengths, but ultimately both are a 2 mana tempo tools for slowing down high stat/value minions. This card is pretty cool with silence too :)
Its all fun and games until Sketchy Stranger starts kidnapping your minions in other classes with no secrets.
Stranger danger
Well @ least we know with all those secret rogue support that is gonna be a deck, bellive darn good deck, coz every secret revealed is nutts
Pretty good against control, not as much against aggro. Do we know if this stops battlecries?
It doesn't stop battlecries. This triggers after the minion is played.
It says after so...
Out of all the cards that got balance-adjusted in Final Design after the reveal, I have zero clue about how this one passed in its current form.
Tempo Secret Rogue, day 1.
Mmm, I mean is not bad to get it for free from the new drop 4 guy, but the fact that battlecries still trigger and colossals still spawn their appendices (confirmed?) seems too much of a drawback.
Rogue doesn’t care about your Battlecries, they just want Tempo. This fits the bill, and then some.
I think nature right the way it's worded. After not when...
The colossal are a good question how they resolve but my guess would also be the +minions cone into play.
However, that doesn't make it useless, far from it. This secret has win games potential when timed right...
All 3 secrets are OP, and there is an OP way to cheat them out of your deck.
Why even care about other cards when they print such ridiculous package.
