The Team 5 Creativity department was hard at work again...
Totem package incoming.
This is going to break wild btw
Follow this with Brilliant Macaw and your Searing Totems become Magma Ragers!
sounds tasty, but a lil bit of a anti synergy with Brukan
Don't forget that any "All" minion gets the bonus.
Maybe this one for next or next next expansion.
Actually pretty decent since it doesn't really need other totem support cards. Play it early followed by a parrot and you get 2 mana 4/2 every turn from turn 5 can be difficult to deal with. Its flaw is obviously Brukan hero power or quest.
Finally! Something good to this game. Ppl complaining just want more face shaman bullshit decks...go play something else. Totem is an archetype that many players wanted to see flourish since early hearthstone.
They never did it. great move, hope they has more totem sinergy after this one!
I play mostly wild and at legend there are too many same decks...Wee need new stuff to variate and have more fun on Wild and more support to old stuff to keep old players interested in the game and bring new ones with more open mind about it.
BUT, AFTER SO MANY FUCKUPS THEY DID I SEE WHY PPL FEEL SO BAD ABOUT TOTEM ARCHETYPE COMING BACK. BLIZZARD HAS A NASTY FAME ABOUT IT SO ANYWAY LETS SEE HOW IT GOES.
MORE TOTEM SUPPORT IS APPRECIATED, I SPENT A LOT OF RESOURCES BUILDING ONE LAST YEAR! XD WASN'T A SMART MOVE
That is nice....if anyone used totems.
Oh what's that? The theme this expansion for Shaman was evolve AGAIN? Which completely ruins the effect of this? Nice work devs!
I know, right? It's totally not like there's another fucking game mode that has a fuckton of cards available where a deck could be made around Totems. It's also not like Totem Shaman is a fucking scary deck and a Shaman crapping out a 5/4 Totem Golem for 2 mana sounds like something that will make you shit bricks...
So Shaman loses a legendary spot in Standard so they can be better in Wild?
Eh, this doesn't require you to run very many totems since it buffs your hero power. It's a card for token-based decks. And most token decks want Flametongue and Mana Tide anyway (unless it's Murloc).
You don't run this with evolve cards. That makes no sense.
Could see play in a deck that doesn't rely on synergy after the hero card rotates out. Seems like a control card that will keep giving you a little more value throughout the game. In a 40 card control deck, that might be enough
Just think if Grand Totem Eys'or was still in standard.
There are three totems in standard right now not counting the ones you generate with hero power.
Pretty much this card is dead on arrival.
Not playable in standard, unless there's some seriously busted totem support in this expansion, and half of shaman card have been revealed to support the evolve archetype, so I doubt a miracle will happen.
Everyone is phantamising about playing this battlecry 3 or 4 time, but summoning a Ice rager every turn for 2 mana doesn't seem that good anymore, especialy if you build your entire deck to make that happen, and it requires you to draw one specific card you can only run one of, and you do the combo after turn 6...
Just compare this with ... Grand Totem Eys'or
+1/+1 vs +2/0
3 mana vs 4 mana
activate every turn vs activate one time.
Can be comboed with Totemic Reflection (and double spells) vs can be comboed with bran and parrot.
And grand Totem Eys'or had trouble seeing play at a time when totem support was much higher than it is now.
I wish it was playable, but i'm not seeing it.
Why not play both in a wild totem deck? Also stonewright buffs your hero power, eysor does not
I did say "in standard". In wild it may be okay.
And I don't think buffing your hero power is good enough in standard anymore.
It works with the hero power. That was the biggest weakness Eys'or had. There were never enough good totems for Eys'or to make sense.
This is literally just to make your hero power better in a token deck. You play this reasonable body on curve and have better hero powers the rest of the game. Less flooding the board with powered up totems and copying them... more... your token deck runs Flametongue and Mana Tide and making those 2/2 and 2/3 respectively is pretty good. While buffing the tokens you summon with your hero power.

"Cost-4
"Health-4
"... Attack-5."
"This is not the way, Murloc Shaman."
Totem synergy in 2022?!? God, this is so depressing...
