Masters Tour: Summer Championship - Survival Guide - With Drops!


Fresh on the heels of Hearthstone's newest expansion Mini-Set, the first Masters Tour Summer Championship is this weekend. 16 players from all over the world will compete to earn a share of the $50,000 prize pool. It will also be the first chance for players to win a spot at the World Championship, which will be held later this year!

This year's eSports season consists of many changes from previous years, including being the final year for Grandmasters. A full list of changes can be found in a previous eSports article.

Drops Are Back!

Viewers can earn up to two Voyage to the Sunken City cards packs for watching. After watching 2 hours you'll receive your first pack -- watch an additional 2 hours for the second. Time is cumulative, so you don't have to watch all at once. Be sure to link your YouTube and Battle.net accounts to receive your prizes -- directions can be found here.


Tournament Format

Each match will be played with a 4-deck, best-of-five Conquest Format with a ban.


Hearthstone Masters Summer Championship will be played over three days:

Day 1 will feature 7 matches.

Day 2 will feature 10 matches.

Day 3 will feature 10 matches with the winners advancing to a single-elimination playoff round, followed by the Top 4 players competing for the title of Masters Summer Champion!


World Championships

Future Masters Tour Events

There will be 3 Masters Tour events remaining after the Summer Championship. Below is a breakdown of how to qualify.

  • Win a Qualifier through Battlefy
  • Have a top Qualifier Winrate
  • Top 50 on monthly Ladder in each region
  • Earn a 6-2 or better record in Swiss Rounds and don’t already have an invite to the next Masters Tour
