Anyone who knows where the cards Will be revealed?
First every class got a character as a minion, thenas a quest and reward was the same like Rokara. I guess this time all those Characters will be hero cards.
I am not talking about power of those quest. I am talking about uninteractive gameplay first and foremost. And what did they really change? They delayed the quest completion and made those quest decks more vulnerable to face decks, thats true. Thats why their win percentage may not be great. But the core gameplay stands. They still do their thing to complete the quest and once they do, they still kill you no matter what, no matter your cards, no matter your armor or HP. Maybe I am wrong, I havent played standard for 2 months now, but judging by those nerfs, they didt change the core of the problem.
Ill be happy as long as it gets rid of the shitty face decks that every class is right now.
You want more quest decks ?
Hearthstone has been that way for 7 years and will probably stay like that for many more. I can only remember a very few moments where there was no face deck dominating everything else, like during Old Gods.
This will be the first expansion I'll try to go F2P. I have enough gold and dust. we'll see
Horde don't win Alterac Valley
Because Alliance exploit the wall. :)
Alliance has had terrain advantage since it was created.
Hope some good cards, this expansion :)
Wait, what? Isn't it too early? :S
I just bought Mid expansion xD
Mid expansion was grossly delayed because they wasted their time making Mercenaries.
Well, as much as I want to play standard, I am not returning until the quests are out. I am not playing uninteractive games that are all the same and never go past turn 7-8. They shot themself in the foot with those quests
at that point there will be just another BS mechanic that you will refuse to come back for. Either play the game or not, waiting 2 years and expecting a golden age of Hearthstone meta is asinine.
They already nerfed Warlock a ton, and tomorrow they're nerfing Mage. Those are the two worst offenders. Hunter, Rogue, Demon Hunter, Paladin, Druid, Priest, and Shaman are all fine. Maybe kind of linear in some cases (though most of these have at least one variant), but fine.
Which quest is that again? I'd agree with you if you said this a few months ago, but Shaman and Warlock already got nerfed enough that they're worse than many non-quest decks, and Mage is getting (another) nerf literally today.
The only quest you could argue is unreasonably powerful after all that is Warrior, and even that's debatable. All the quests I didn't mention either don't see any play at all, or they see relatively infrequent play and have balanced winrates.
Warriors quest isnt that powerfull. Only when you have a lot of cheap pirates like in wild.
Like pirate warrior became good after buffs, so the quest is Just as good as the pirates in standard.
Which side is going to slow down quests?
Being that vanilla Alterac Valley may be one of my favorite gaming experiences in gaming history, I hope this is a fun expansion with a lot of call backs and some creative mechanics.
Similar to how a couple additional quests came into the game post-ungoro, I could maybe see 2 more quests (shaman and druid?) to summon the two AV gods.
i wondered too if theyd split the alliance and horde classes in some way with their card flavor. Paladin, priest, demon hunter, druid vs warlock, warrior, hunter, rogue, shaman…
i could also see the book of mercs characters all coming back (as theyve been in each of the last two), but that would complicate things as the druid is Horde and the rogue is ally. Hunter is ally.
