The road to the 2021 World Championship continues this weekend at the fourth Masters Tour event! Approximately 400 players were invited to compete for their portion of the $250,000 prize pool. The event runs August 27-29, and will be broadcast on the Hearthstone YouTube channel. This will be the fourth of six online only events where players can earn a spot into Hearthstone's most prestigious group: the Grandmasters.
The player base will consist of winners from official Masters Tour qualifying events, current Hearthstone Grandmasters, and previous top finishers in Masters Tour events. Below is a breakdown of Masters Tour stop invites.
The 2021 season also marks the introduction of the Masters Tour Points system. Throughout the season's events, players will be awarded points based on their finishes. These point totals will determine which participants will replace the relegated Grandmasters in Season 2. The events used to calculate these points will be Masters Tour Asia-Pacific, Montreal, Madrid, Ironforge, Ogrimmar, and Dalaran. You can follow along throughout the season here.
