Blizzard Posts Highest Win Rate Decks for United in Stormwind
In another update tonight (after already announcing earlier that Balance changes were not coming until next week) Blizzard announced the highest winrate decks for United in Stormwind.
Quote from Tian DingThese are the best standard decks for United in Stormwind launch week.
Youre telling me that a game where 80% of matchups are basically rock paper scissors cant have even more coin flip scenarios? Why not? What does it even matter at this point?
I had like 6 rlf friends who used to play ranked, me included. None of them can stand what the game has become. The ccg game mode is utter garbago. Only BG.
Dude I don't know which game you're playing but that isn't the case for Hearthstone Standard.
Another hilarious factoid they unintentionally reveal is that there's a huge percentage gap in most of these between going first and second, almost 10% in a couple cases. That's insane and a fundamental flaw with the game.
Pretty much... Since the game has evolved into LOLface.
In a mid-range, minion centric card game, there isn't much of a difference.
I guess you didn't notice that a couple of decks had a HIGHER winrate when going second
Yeah by like 1 percent. Note that those decks are the ones that can exploit the use of an extra 0 cost spell. I assume Miracle Garrote Rogue also has a higher win rate going second.
This list reeks of "stop complaining about quests!!! the data says they aren't broken so we don't have to nerf them!!"
Kind of cheap if you ask me.
Agree. Looking at the lists, quests are obviously warping the whole meta towards extreme aggro.
It's obviously all ranks, which taints the relevance of the data.
Why? The game is balanced for the majority of players, not a minority
1. Bad player's matchups shouldn't be included in balance considerations. Bad players will always find aggro decks easier to win with, and bad players will always lose more often with decks that are not aggro when they play them. There's not an obvious way to filter this, but rank can somewhat approximate it, or that hidden MMR they track but refuse to disclose.
2. Decks that require less dust will be more prominent than those that do, skewing numbers. This also should not be taken into account, despite the majority of the players being free to play. It's highly possible more expensive decks would be winning more if more players had access to them, instead of those players being forced to play cheaper and similarly effective aggro/combo decks. Control might have been able to keep aggro in check - but if no one can afford the decks themselves the numbers won't be reflecting it since they got driven from the meta and few are gonna craft cards for decks that can't compete.
Cuz there is skin for mage, simple af
It's crazy how much of a lie this is lol.
Stop acting like Mage isn't even on the list.
My thoughts exactly
This is a blinding neon sign to the community that says "guys, we heard you, but look: Mage is not the problem here, don't expect balance changes for it."
You can ignore the obvious sign and pretend it's some grand conspiracy, or you could take a moment and reflect on what you think you know.
but this is the case, mages are not the problem here, the problem i have is hunters and paladins .... more than 1 out of 2 games is against these classes and is almost a garantied loss.
I play no monion mage mainly and don't have time to play tons of games everyday, i want to have fun playing the game and i am forced to automatically quit when facing handbuff paladins, face hunters and shadow priests ... the winrate is so low that i do'nt even bother against these archetypes
and yet people still complain about mages ..... is this real seriously ? the numbers are here ! just because people can not handle a defeat from time to time against a quest that could finally complete, blizzard have to nerf mages again and let the tier 1 decks go to even higher winrates ?
