Iksar's Response On The Lack Of Communication
Hearthstone's developer Dean "Iksar" Ayala has shared what's going on with the lack of communication, if the expansion will be right on time & more.
Quote from IksarOur focus has been on supporting each other and planning action for how we can make our work a better place for everyone. Something we've clearly failed at in the past.
Having any celebration is a hard sell right now. I can assure you the only hesitation we have with moving forward with things like streams or card reveals is out of the respect for our co-workers. This is an incredibly important time to reflect and make sure we chart the best path forward. There is no gag order, no legal team telling us what we can and can't say. Our focus is simply on each other right now.
All that said, we still care about our work and are still passionate about delivering a great game. It's the whole reason most of us are here in the first place. We don't have plans to delay our launch or push back further developments. We are just taking time to make sure we get this moment right.
Quote from CoraPlease understand that we're also confused and disappointed right now. This is not how anybody wanted this reveal season to go, but there are more important things that need to take priority. As for communication, there are some things that it isn't my place to say publicly.
I'm honestly so bored of this retort. Yes we all know Blizzard owes us nothing, gg1989 didn't suggest they did.
They merely made a case for how Blizzard conduct thier bussiness, and that it is poor, outlining problems and successes with it, Yes Blizzard owe us nothing, and that's exactly how they behave.
Lawsuit not withstanding, there has been a massive decline in communication, quality, in their games which has translated into a decline in playership across all of their IPs. more than 30% and still declining.
you’re point? I didn’t start playing hs, because blizzard had a good reputation and Im not going to stop now that they have a bad rep.
To me hs is fun, and a ton of work has been put in to make it so. So Im not going to let the misgivings of a few affected that, or feel bad about playing it.
Sure Blizzard owes me nothing and I am free to be disappointed and to not give them my money.
That man has never played a failing gacha before. They don't owe you shit if they fail, the expectation that a game can suddenly be cancelled is always there, and even if they "owe you" they probably won't. It's life. You can as much money as you want, but ultimately its the company that wins vs your spending.
Celestalon just shared on Twitter the remaining cards via Out of Cards.

Respectfully, big thanks to Team 5 for their community efforts during these terrible times. These complaints about the lack of communication are disappointing. Hearthstone has upped the communication tenfold since it initially came out. We can give them their deserved time and respect.
Thanks guy
That's just an excuse, the lack of communication was always like this
Up until the lawsuit, recent communication efforts have been extremely high. Iksar's weekly AMAs, frequent updates on upcoming balance changes, etc. I'm not sure what more you could ask for.
Translation:
A Bunch of streamers caused a backlash over something that's already being handled and possibly didn't involve anyone in this development studio, so rather than have pointless grandstanding and trolling and harassment we just canceled the stream.
Multiple former Hearthstone devs have said it happened on that team too. Enough with the denial.
As a loyal cusyomer I feel that their responce as whole was very poorly executed.
Blizzard or Activision is poorly paying employer and does not care for their customers as long as cash is pouring, so staff and players are not satisfied.
However the risen problem is not the players fault. We pay for a product and have no other relationship with the publisher outside of paying for service / receiving the service, anything else is outside of the those boundries and anyone that wants to involve is making it on personal level not as the whole community.
I refuse to get blamed for something I am not aware of and refuse to support the Blizzard staff as this issue has been 11 years old and nothing has been done so far.
Tbh even some message "card reveal is postponed by 24 hours for 6PM CET" would be fine, just tell what to expect.
Wow. Really felt a lot of positive energy in this comment section.
really felt a lot of rotten pizza in my stomache right now *puts you in my mouth*
you guys dont like me eating rotting pizza?
Very good parody you made there! APROVED!
EDIT: This wasn't the statement that I made this comment on but... YES! :P
Seems like comments are moved up when the original comment/post is removed
Go check out the comments under the linked statement on mmo-champion, if you want to see a real disgrace
I understand that they had to cancel the stream because this is probably the worst time to have fun and happy celebration, but it could have been done differently, for example:
Here's the full list of cards, expansion is coming August 3rd, see you then.
Simple as that.
Not only that, they also could make the stream with more serious position, started it with a message for what is going on, then pass by all the remaining cards with small discussion without the games, and end with an apologise.
