Rewards Track Client Patch - Updated With Gold Swaps For Packs
Blizzard just sent out a client patch with the announced changes to the Reward Track, swapping certain Packs later in the track for Gold rewards. Read the precise swaps below!
Quote from BlizzardHey everyone,
We’re currently deploying a client hotfix that includes the following:
Updated items on the Rewards Track.
- Level 33 – Old: Year of the Dragon Card Pack → New: 150 Gold
- Level 37 – Old: Scholomance Academy Card Pack → New: 200 Gold
- Level 40 – Old: Madness at the Darkmoon Faire Card Pack → New: 200 Gold
- Level 42 – Old: Ashes of Outland Card Pack → New: 200 Gold
- Level 46 – Old: Madness at the Darkmoon Faire Card Pack → New: 300 Gold
- Level 48 – Old: Year of the Dragon Card Pack → New: 300 Gold
Until this hotfix is fully deployed, some players may get the new rewards but still see the old ones. If you reached these milestones before we implemented these changes, you’ll be retroactively compensated up to the level you reached in a future update.
The out of cards calculation is bogus. It assumes you're getting the achievement experience which most will not because they are gated behind ridiculous conditions and owning legendaries.
It also assumes the thoroughly debunked "400 exp/hour from ranked" which no one is receiving in the actual game even with full roping.
Thanks for the input, that only adds to the theorizing I have there.
Again let each person be the judge, but as it sits now - the new Rewards Track looks to be a loss in comparison to the old system.
even for the P2W players.
Damn! So with the 30 wins = 100g it's way more than 1220gp - almost 13k gold lost.
every quest before was minimum ( without reroll) 60g so 4 months 6720g.
FYI 1000XP averages to about 30 gold.

I again based this off the LEAST amount of effort and gains. So yes this is based on re-rolling for 50gp quests.
Also - at 30 gp and an hour with xp gains as the link in the replies shows that makes the difference in Reward Track vs the old system even worse.
As I don't know the math for gp per hour I didn't use that form of calculation I just showed overall gold gains over a time frame.
It's interesting as well that this post is getting down votes, yet the replies that verify the post are getting upvotes. That's like congratulating the patient for a good surgery yet belittling the doctor who did the surgery...
Come to Gwent! We have free goodies!
Why can't they be more like warzone where you can play shoot the ship and get the battlepass done in a weekend?
i just want a faster exp gained .that's all i really wanted.
I want old system because here you cant earn not even close gold.
From what I understand the players that got the most p**sed off by the new reward system are the hardcore aggro ones that used to rush those 30 wins as fast as possible, preferably in casual too, since they met even less resistance.
Well, whatever f**ks with them sounds delicious to me.
You understood it wrong, everyone got fucked
I deserve more! I play your game, now reward me!! I will never pay a cent to play this game, but you owe me more free content! How dare you give me less for free! I deserve MORE for free! I play this GAME for hours a day, and you expect me to pay money to get what I was getting before?? How dare you! How dare you run a company! You're just as bad as that pizza place that expects me to pay for delivery! Don't you know I'm eating your pizza?! The least you can do is bring it to me!!!
My parents said I can do ANYTHING I want!! Didn't you know that!?? HOW DARE YOU!!!
I assure you I am the furthest from free to play, but playing is only half of the fun for me. The other aspect of ‘fun’ comes from opening packs and getting rewarded for my play time. MTGA and LoR have a great system where you feel like you are being rewarded for playing, even if you lose it’s ok, cause you can que again and get those next couple of wins and get the gold you need to buy a pack and hopefully get that mythic/legendary you’re after. The problem with the new ‘reward’ track is I’ve been playing for 2 days for a couple hours and am still 500 Xp away from my next pack. That ultimately just feels bad.
with the old system I could finish off an hour or two of playing and at the end have a nice little pick me up (especially if I faced nothing but broken shit, and lost a ton) and have a pack or so to open. Now it feels anti-climactic. And that feels terrible. The grind is good, but only up to a point
No one says they deserve anything , but if other games are cheaper and more fun, why should they stay in this game?
I think the problem is the strategy of just chasing away f2p players rather than actually making people want to pay for the game
damn i wanted these year of the dragon packs to hit the first 10 packs pity timer....or do they not have one?
Hope you like it! Cause this is all we gonna get!
Hotfix your greed Blizzard, not swap some packs that is not solving problem at all! This situation with new reward system is like your employer suddenly cut your usual salary by half (which they did according calculations) and tell you that you should be happy because instead u will get some achivements like "employee of the month" (which they also did). They cut gold income by half and give us useless achivements. It is time to find a new job, if u got what i mean.
