WTF are you doing, dude?. If you want to add a spoiler, mark the text with special button called “spoiler”, do not spoil for other people, ffs! I have been waiting for the official announcement for month and came here to check the time tuning in tomorrow, and some noname dipshit Like you would spoil It for me? No thank you. I hope you are not telling about the movies you watched to your friends (if you have them) in that way...
who cares.
The comment literally starts with "Polygon leaked it". If you can't deduce it will be a spoiler then you deserved it....
"X leaked it" is not the same as "X leaked something and I'm about to reveal it, so you've been warned." Some of us -- most people, really -- read in way that we're going to get a little ahead of "X leaked it" and see the next thing even if we don't want to. A longer warning is needed, but even then, there's a good chance people who didn't want to see it will see it. The spoiler tag exists for a reason.
I’d love a big announcement from the team tomorrow as I basically only play Battlegrounds these days (which is great) and use MTG for my card-game fix. My issues with HS aren’t really about big content changes being necessary (although that would be great). It’s more to do with the actual nuts-and-bolts of it – the expansion mechanics and ongoing maintenance of the game.
My problem with releases in the last year is that few of the mechanics were particularly impactful, interesting or innovative. A lot of the cards and gameplay felt very similar to what had gone before. I’ve been playing the game a long time now so maybe I’m just personally bored of it but I feel that expansions like Rumble had really cool mechanics, even if they ended up not having much of an impact. There was nothing last year on a similar level – stuff like Reborn or Twinspell didn’t even feel like a novel mechanic to me.
I feel like a lot of this could be overlooked if the team were just a bit more proactive with changes, nerfs or interacted a bit more with the playerbase. They’ve promised this several times before but we’ve only seen incremental differences that have taken aaages to come to pass. So if they say they’re going to communicate more then that would be an easy win but they’d need to actually back it up this time.
Ehh, the announcement is big but honestly, very bad. They're introducing demon hunter as a new class, but holy crap its core cards are dull, unoriginal and retarded as hell. Like we waited six years to get a new class, and not only it's not a death knight but demon hunter, his core set looks like some child's creation from rank 50. Also priest gets many buffs, most of which are also retarded, and gets Velen HoFed. All in all, I lost any hope for a single real glimpse of creativity from team5 along with real changes to the game like introducing new mechanics, new card types or at least increasing health cap. It looks like they are finally introducing a new class only because they are finally getting afraid pf their milk cow getting dried out. Mark my word, HS will spike for two-three weeks, and then nobody will give a shit again, just playing battlegrounds, lol.
actually i want to see what is going to happen, because i didnt even buy the adventure and i dont wanna spend any money that is not going to give me a fun for a while. my biggest hope is they fucking fix broken cards like winged guardian, twin tyrant etc. or buff the old basic and classic cards to the some point because arena isnt fun anymore with those overpowered shit.
The teaser reminds me A LOT of maraudon ,that also have basilisks who turns people into stone . Maybe thats next expansion's theme..?
The fact that they mentioned the communication ("We're going to share more than we ever have before") as a hook for the hype is a good and a bad thing at the same time: good because who doesn't want to know more about the game you play? But bad because (although things have got slightly better than in the past) we haven't received that much communication, which is what we were promised more than a year ago during the Year of the Dragon announcement video.
Hearthstone's last year had a lot of highs (Rise of Mechs, quick nerfs, Battlegrounds, 5 Galakronds gifted to everyone,...) but also a few and, I dare to say, non very justifiable lows (November's Shamanstone with no response other than "the meta is challenging", some DoD cards that were clearly over the top, even just on the paper, the need of a community uproar in order to push the devs to answer some problematics, continuous bugs patch after patch and brawl after brawl,...). No one is perfect and no one is asking for things to be always correct and bulletproof, but I think you got what I'm trying to say.
For what concerns the announcement, I'm not particularly hyped: not just because I find harmful getting excited over what is basically nothing (for now), but also because my expectations have been failed too many times. Game changing year? I really really hope so, but for now I'd like to keep my feet firm on the ground.
i'm totally agree with you (and have the same hopes as you) except for the 5 galas, that i initially find a good things, but then i realize that the set was composed of 135 cards with the exclusion of the 5 galas, so basically you don't have 5 less legendaries to find, it's half a good thing and half a "bad" thing
So, Roquestone is fun ? Neah it feels similar like a Corona Virus.
Well my guess is that 150 new cards are coming. Do i win anything?
If you want to have fun - play Gwent
Thanks, but I'm not that masochistic.
I did. I quit. Next suggestion.
This game has way more untapped potential, Hearthstone is great but i feel like the current team in place is lacking by not continuing to improve and innovate. So much more could be done with Quests for example. Currently it's just generic ''play 3 games and get 60 gold'', why is there not rare, epic or even legendary quest lines with more unique and awesome rewards that can also stir the meta? Something like getting a deck to Legend with only murlocs and you unlock some cool Murloc hero or gives you all Murlocs in golden form. Or how bout something similar to the green Warlock quest in WoW? Some long and difficult path to getting your spells recolored/new animations or a new look for your hero power with a certain class? Why is there not an achievement system yet in this game that also can have unlocks? I Mean i could go on for awhile here. There is a lot of room for improvement. I hope some great changes are right around the corner.
No thanks. I want quick wins with my netdeck.
There are actually some Legendary Quests. All Expansion Specific quests and some 100 Gold ones are Legendary. Up until recently, you actually couldn't reroll legendary quests. You even get a notification warning you when you try to delete one. As far as rewards go, the Hearthstone Gold economy has never been better. Previously it took 3 wins for 40g and 5 wins for 60g.
I think what your looking for moreso than grand quests is as you say, achievements. Currently you earn Card Backs and Golden Hero Powers/1000 win portraits as achievements, but I agree that it would be 100% better if there was a dedicated achievement system.
In all fairness though, the team has stepped up their game. Not only are we getting 3 130+ card expansions, but free single player mini expansions as well as regular card changes/reworks. In comparison to a few years back, the game has never been in a better spot.
Wrath of Ra-Den
Ra wants his vengence over Lei, so he tracks (and petrifies) the alternate heros to find him...
